Have been looking for some saves help (have Paps, Nunez and Fuentes) and noticed that the WW in my 8 team league is devoid of any talent for saves (kind of odd considering it is only an 8 team league). I was going through rosters and discovered that the last place team has the following on his roster:
Soriano
Cordero
Hoffman
Francisco
Clippard
Dotel
Rodney
...and starts them all except for Rodney. I fear Fuentes is going to lose his job and that is going to put me in a bind...plus, I am already 30 innings over the max for the year and at this rate, none of my pitchers will count in September. Any thoughts as to whom to target. I don't like Hoffman out of that bunch. By acquiring Rodney I am guessing it would be cheap, plus cover me for Fuentes. Also, Meek is on the WW, so I could always trade for Dotel and pick up Meek just in case. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
As of today I am first in ERA and Whip and he is 2nd in saves (and somehow, first in wins). He is bottom of the barrel in most hitting categories except for SBs.
