You have never seen a game where the opponent has been able to come back into a game against the Patriots because they start playing conservative and running the ball. You need to be able to stop there offense to get back into the game.

The Green Bay Packers could possibly also be undefeated if they didn't come out of the locker room in the 2nd half against Chicago and start running the ball and got away from the pass which built up there large lead.

Another example is Indianapolis vs. Houston this year where Indy tried to take there air out of the ball in the 2nd half and Houston came back and made a game of it.

I'm being serious are there any HS or RECREATIONAL maybe even college football coaches on this board that can explain the reason why you derive a gameplan and by halftime you are up 3 or 4 scores and you come out in the 2nd half and you totally move away from that gameplan and try to take the air out of the (so they call it). Why would you not stick to the same game plan and continue putting points on the board and then take the air out of the ball midway toward the 4th quarter; isn't the 3rd quarter way to early to start sitting on the ball. Possibly costed the Packers a run at an undefeated season.

Hell No that was a wake up call for UCONN football. There was no running up the score there they needed a lot of style points to make sure they get to the natonal championship game.
