New NFL Rule (1 Viewer)

I was thinking about the new rule:

If a loose ball in play strikes a video board, guide wire, skycam or any

other object, the ball will be dead immediately, and the down will be

replayed at the previous spot.

and thought that this rule could easily be exploited. What if on every pass Romo took 3 seconds and if no one was open he launched the ball up to hit the skycam. It would essentially give him infinite downs to find someone open. Thoughts?

Romo would miss and fumble at the same time.

It would probably get modified immediately after that to read, "If a player intentionally hits the scoreboard, skycam, etc, the ball would be considered dead and a loss of downs would occur"

Even a rule like this probably can't save the Cowboys from missing the playoffs

Romo might have a shot if a broad side of a barn were suspended in mid air....might.

On another note, Cowboys stadium has been designated a tornado shelter because.......

There is hardly ever "a touchdown" there

Sorry
