New to IDP and Dynasty (1 Viewer)

First time in dynasty and IDP, time to cut down to 53 for zealots, any recommendations? Need to cut 5 guys:

QB: P Manning, C Simms, J Sorgi, M McMahon

RB: T Barber, C Brown, D Rhodes, TJ Duckett, M Moore, JJ Arrington, V Haynes, J Wells, A Thomas, L Gates, R Williams, L Washington

WR: R Moss, P Burress, A Bryant, T Glenn, C Wilson, M Booker, R Williams, B Engram, S McDonald, D Boston, J Orr

TE: K Winslow, A Smith, J Wiggins, A Bergen, C Baker

PK: J Brown, J Scobee, J Hanson

DL: W Smith, R Mathis, M Williams, A Gargrove, R Bernard, A McKinley, T Cole

LB: B Urlacher, A Davis, K Dansby, M Greenwood, P Tinoisamoa, C Thompson, K Wimbley, N Harris, J Anderson

QB Mike McMahon, DL Trent Cole, WR Davis Boston, WR Shaun McDonald, TE Adam Bergen

You've got plenty of RB depth along with TE's too. Defense doesn't score that much in Zealots so you can cut defense that will never get in your lineup anyway. They wouldn't even make good trade bait.

I would be hesitant to cut Wells, since he signed with the Colts. As bad as Rhodes and Addai have looked, I won't be surprised if Wells gets some playing time. I would cut Gates before Wells.

So McMahon, Gates, Bergen, McKinley, Thompson would be my choices.

I don't know Zealots scoring, but McMahon absolutely stinks. I don't see him being able to hang on to the job when Johnson goes down in Minny after 1-2 starts, they'll go with the rookie.

I've heard King may be the backup in Indy over Sorgi. I'd keep Boston & McDonald as fliers. I like Cole some. He's young and is productive.

Wells is a FA, isn't he? I must have missed the Colts signing.

You can cut mcmahon, lionel gates, jj arrington, david boston, jon orr, a bergen, chris baker, R Bernard, A McKinley, T Cole

Well with Sorgi being hurt and Indy shopping for a back-up, I can't see why you hold onto him. So there is one roster spot you can free up

Why do you have 3 kickers and 7 def. linemen? Go with 2 kickers max. and cut the DLinedown to 5. Its rare that you would start 3 DLinemen in ZF.

QB: As I see it, you have 2 QBs. Sorgi is a good handcuff if he is healthy. McMahon has no business on your roster. You want a young guy with upside rather than a retread like McMahon.

RB: I'd keep then all even though some of them have little value. I'm in 2 ZF leagues and its almost impossible to trade for a crappy RB. Price is too high.

WR: Strength of your team. Can cut Boston. Keep the rest.

TE: bergen and/or Baker are expendable.

K: Dump one not named Josh Brown. After SEA's bye, cut the other kicker not named Josh Brown and grab a RB/WR that may be of value for next year. I got Willie Parker like that, thanks to a tip from the Shark Pool.

DL: 5 max. Cole and McKinley get the axe.

LB: Nice group but I am drawing a blank on J Anderson...

DB: Good group.

I could see cutting anyone on that list, particularly the DL - you've got four good young DEs, no reason to burn roster spots on more DL.
