New Yoga X1 Thunderbolt question (1 Viewer)

Replacing my 5 year old HP desktop with a Yoga X1.

Can somebody help explain the Thunderbolt connection and docking options? Does the Lenovo Thunderbolt Dock charge the X1? Or does the X1 still need it's own power source to charge while docked? Everything I read has me questrioning what the right answer is.
