Newton+Drake+1.08 vs Adams+1.04 (1 Viewer)

In a 16-team, PPR Dynasty league, I have been proposed a trade : to receive Cam Newton + 1.08 + Kenyan Drake in exchange of Davante Adams + 1.04.

I have plenty of picks including 1.02, 1.04 and 1.05. I have a big lack of QB (my QB1 is... Mike Glennon !), a decent set of RB (Gio, Crowell, Duke Johnson and Davontae Booker) and WR (Keenan Allen, Sterling Shepard, Corey Coleman and Davante Adams)

Looking at different rankings for Dynasty PPR, it seems Davante Adams has slightly more value than Cam. But I really believe he had a down year and is undervalued. Wouldn't a straight trade Newton vs Adams more fair ?

I think I'd keep Adams vs cam personally. I think he will continue to put up numbers with Rodgers, and cam worries me for a couple reasons- his offseason surgery, play style, they could add a rb early and take away some if those rushing tds, and supporting cast. I really don't like moving down four spots to do it in a 16 team league. Drake is a non factor imo. 

Cams value may be depressed after a down year, but you aren't exactly buying low here....

I think in 16 team league studs make an enormous difference, and you can add 3 guys that have a shot at that. If you like cam and go Adams-cam straight up then fine. If you trade 1.04 for 1.08/cam then fine, but I think you can get a guy that will score near cam for less. Problem is you have all these picks so everybody will want a piece of that.

I don't feel this is a bad deal because the offer is fair and you have a QB need.  I do agree with Snorkelson though that I would maybe look to acquire a different QB cheaper and keep my picks intact.  I think the difference is you like Cam more than I do.  The question always has been can Cam adjust his game as he ages and become more of a passer when he can no longer be as much of a runner.  I'm not sold on that yet.  But, if you are a Cam believer I don't see it as a terrible deal to sell Adams for Cam and drop 4 spots.

I would not do the deal but I am also not sold on Cam.  I like the Adams/1.04 side pretty strongly.  If you need an upgrade at QB I would look into other options.

In larger leagues studs are the key.  You need players that can win you the week by themselves.  Cam is that kind of player when he is playing well but without knowing the scoring system its tough to say how much of a difference maker Cam can be. 

At first glance I was a yes to this deal to get Cam but I would try and tweek it a bit.  Drake is fodder so really is useless in this deal.  Any chance you could counter with swapping Shepherd for Adams in the deal?  I like it better that way.

In a 16 team league... I'd go for Cam since top QBs are more in demand.  I'm not a believer in Adams so would do a straight swap in a heart beat.  

I'd also consider a counter of Shepard/1.04 for Cam/1.08
