We just going to freeze Banana Team for the year and let him keep his guys next year? Should they all be benched so the team wont affect the standings?

I'd think a better solution is let him audit the course... meaning, let him fill out his roster, play the full year - he won't pay in, and won't be eligible for winnings, but at least he can add and drop guys so by the time next year comes around, he is in a better position, plus it keeps him involved for the year.

Understood - so let him have his fun.  If he ends up in 3rd place overall, great - the 4th place team will slot in for the winnings.

Not sure there is a perfect solution... unless REDRAFT!  (but I kid).

I'm not arguing with you, I just disagree.

The fairest way for the rest of the league is benching everyone imo.  Controlling what you can control to make it as fair is possible; knowing full well some people will abandon their teams part way through the year.  If he wants to come back with the roster he has, it looks like he'll be ok for keepers and we could reduce the minimum for him or something.

But...I'm not the commish anymore so its not my call and I understand if he feels bad for bananarama and wants him to have fun at whatever small expense to the standings.

Not to mention if you let him do add/drops solely for better keepers in the future he's likely to load up prospects hoping for hits.

I think the least impactful route is freeze and bench the team. Banana can have the same keepers next year he had this year, same $ and year value. If he's allowed to filed a team it could have a big impact on standings especially in ERA and WHIP. 

 
I think it's a slippery slope to let banana play "for next year" but it's a crummy situation, no great answer, I'm OK with whatever rodg decides

There are ways to offer reparations come keeper time next year, like letting him pick through the drops

At this point, my two options are the freeze option or have him pay only $50 this year, but will then have full team functionality.  Still deciding which one to go with.

Of those two, which would the league prefer?

 
I'm OK with the $50 thing.. it is only magic baseball and it's $50 more in the pot than we get with option 1.  If he moneys then great, hats off

 
Running to work so can't check, did I actually get anyone for zero and if so can I just be charged a buck each since obviously no one out bid me?

Either way not a huge deal. Thought it was no zero bugs but when I went to bid it allowed it so though I was wrong.
