NFC Playoffs (1 Viewer)

If someone can post the remaining schedules of every team that is at least 4-5 on there, then we can have a reasonable discussion.

Division leaders

Chicago

NYG

Seattle

New Orleans

4-4 team: Carolina

4-5 teams: Green Bay, Minnesota, San Fran, St Louis.

5-4 teams: Philly, Dallas, Atlanta

Out of the 4-5 teams St Louis or Green Bay stand out as having a reasonable shot, based on their schedules. I actually think Green Bay is improving by the week and for a very young team with a lot of injury replacements they're playing really well, esp. on defense.

Carolina has been disappointing, but I expect them to come out of the bye having fixed some of their issues, particularly on the defensive side.

Philly has the toughest schedule down the stretch out of all these teams. They looked very well yesterday even with McNabb having an average game. Then again, the Redskins were just not there so Philly is still a bit of an enigma.

After all this blathering, I think the four division leaders will make it, while the two WC will go to Carolina and Philly. My dark horse is Green Bay believe it or not.

Chicago and Seattle look like near mortal locks to win their divisions right now. New Orleans should make the playoffs as either the South winner, or the wildcard. One of Carolina or Atlanta is going to get hot (i'm thinking Carolina). Then you have the dogfight that is the NFC East. I'm picking Philly and Dallas to both pass the Giants and leave them in the cold...

A stab:

Div Winners: Dallas, Chicago, New Orleans, Seattle

Wild Cards: Carolina, Philadelphia

Yes, we can't have a reasonable discussion until someone posts these schedules. :loco:
Schedule is an important factor.
Yes, it is. But, why do they all have to be posted here?
Why can't you accept my apology?
:lmao: Because I wasn't insulted by your post.

I looked at it and I believe that Carolina is OUT of the playoff picture even if they win tonite. They lose all the tiebreakers. The Panthers' biggest problem is that they are only 2-3 in the NFC.

WOW. No Giants from Bloom.

WOW. No Giants from Bloom.
They're losing key players left and right.Plus I think only 1 team from the NFC East will get to the playoffs and right now it pains me to say it, but the Dallas Cowboys actually have the easiest route. I think the winner of their game vs. the NYG on Dec. 3 could be the NFC East Champs.

Here's one really interesting division for djcolts:

Falcons

Nov 19 @Baltimore 1:00pm

Nov 26 New Orleans 1:00pm

Dec 3 @Washington 1:00pm

Dec 10 @Tampa Bay 1:00pm

Dec 16 Dallas 8:00pm

Dec 24 Carolina 1:00pm

Dec 31 @Philadelphia 1:00pm

Panthers

Nov 13 Tampa Bay 8:30pm

Nov 19 St. Louis 1:00pm

Nov 26 @Washington 1:00pm

Dec 4 @Philadelphia 8:30pm

Dec 10 N.Y. Giants 1:00pm

Dec 17 Pittsburgh 1:00pm

Dec 24 @Atlanta 1:00pm

Dec 31 @New Orleans 1:00pm

Saints

Nov 19 Cincinnati 1:00pm

Nov 26 @Atlanta 1:00pm

Dec 3 San Francisco 1:00pm

Dec 10 @Dallas 1:00pm

Dec 17 Washington 1:00pm

Dec 24 @N.Y. Giants 1:00pm

Dec 31 Carolina 1:00pm

If the Panthers win tonight, this division looks like it may be decided in the last week of the season. Outside of the Saints game vs. SF, nobody has any gimmes on their schedule.

Bears, Seahawks, Giants, Panthers

WC: Eagles and Falcons

I think the Saints will finish 9-7 but I actually hope they get in.

Hard to argue with this, although I have a little more confidence in Philly than I do in Dallas right now. I think the resolution of that is going to be decided when they meet next, which should make that matchup awfully fun to watch.

well i think we can eliminate philly. SF? I dunno. That last wild card spot is going to be up for grabs among the Giants, Atlanta, SF, anyone else who can get hot. Looks like the last NFC playoff teams will be 9-7, if not 8-8.

Division Winners

Chicago

Seattle (yes they will beat out St Louis & SF)

Carolina (they'll beat out NO)

Dallas

Wild Card

New Orleans

NYG

The biggest questions in my mind are who will get that second wild card - I'm a little unsure about the NYG pick, and which team (besides CHI) will get a bye the first round of the playoffs.

8-8 just might do it. looking at Carolina's remaining schedule, there's really no cakewalks after philly (NYG, PIT, @ATL, @NO). Then you have the Giants (@CAR, PHI, NO, @WAS) and Atlanta (@TAM, DAL, CAR, @PHI) at 6-6. The wildcards SHOULD be 2 of these three teams, but of the 5-7 teams, Minnesota (@DET, NYJ, @GB, STL) has a good chance at finishing 8-8 with an 8-4 conference record, and Philly almost controls their own destiny with games against fellow WC contenders CAR, ATL and NYG.Whatever happens, I like both home teams to advance in the first week of the NFC playoffs no matter the matchups, assuming none of the WC contenders get on a hot streak and win out impressively. Any combo of SEA, DAL, CHI, and NO should make for some good playoff action.
