Does anyone find it frustating that when people make an objection to a trade of nfl.com you have no idea why they are objecting and what side they are objecting to.

I traded Grossman, Jamal, Lamont and the Giants D for Chester Taylor, LenDale White and the Broncos D. The person getting Grossman has no QB until Hasselback comes back.

I am not really looking for opnions on the trade but just wanted to know what people think of the objection function on nfl.com for acccepting trades.

The ability to protest like this is way to encouraging to abuse. I'd automatically expect to get a protest from whoever is playing against that quarterbackless team--and it's got nothing to do with whether or not the trade is fair. I've also seen leagues where everyone automatically protests just to make sure nobody can do anything to improve their teams. Got no use for that kind of system, myself--would rather put it into the hands of the commish and let leaguemates justify any of their questions to him/her.

Can you do that there? Never been a commish of an NFL.com league

Interesting, didn't know that.Initially I thought you meant people that turn down trades so FWIW I hate that. Give me a counter offer, tell me he's your favorite player...something.On topic-I like NFL.com alot. People around here really bash them and it's mind boggling to me. I'd be curious if you write this issue to NFL.com/sportsline to hear what their reply is.

I took an educated guess of someone who I thought rejected it and asked him why he rejected and what part did he object to and his answer was all of it. Not sure what all of it means.

Don't know for sure--it's been years since I've played in a site sponsored league where majority vote nixed trades and that's one huge reason why I don't play in them anymore. From the sounds of the initial post that was what's happening--but maybe I read too much into it....

well my trade had 4 objections and now has to be reviewed by nfl.com, anyone have idea how long it takes for them to review trades ?

"Going to the Commish" at nfl.com from my expereince there over the past six years means the trade won't be approved.

Trades should not be rejected on a persons opinion of a players value. Collusion ..and I mean real collusion should be the only reason for a trade rejection.

I have seen some trades that looked one sided 100%.. and I also thought a team was throwing his season to get a better draft pick.. well as the season wore on that same team ended up with the better deal by far.. I belive the trade was Gonzo for Galloway..at the beginning of 2005..and we all know how well Galloway ended up.

Though nfl.com has some nice bells and whistles things like that can ruin a league...also when getting involved with public leagues you never know what type of owner you'll be getting.

As the old saying goes..you get what you pay for. Pay leagues help weed out the idiots.
