Questions:1. Why would Seattle take a RB early? Do you expect Lynch to be gone?2. Which team is Floyd going to? ;)3. If Ingram falls anywhere near this far, I expect someone (Packers please?!?!?!) to trade up to snag him.

Oh crap i updated it and forgot to swap Floyd out my bad. I really don't think Seattle will pay Lynch long term i see them using the Franchise this year and drafting a RB early. I know it is a bit of a stretch but no one thought Mathews would go so early and after the Senior Bowl his stock is on the rise and will only gain more steam at the combine because he will workout very well. And Ingram did not impress me and there is a ton of DE talent out there this year so i see him slipping a bit after being man handled all game by Mike Adams. And if i was a Packer fan i would want some sort of improvement at RB after seeing Starks and Grant suck it up this year.

Thx for response Zimm. And very much appreciate the mock!

I'm with Wade. If the Browns trade, it'll be down -- not up. There are a lot of guys in this draft that would fill a need on offense or defense. There is no need for them to trade up. Equally valuable to them are: Luck, Kalil, Claiborne, and RG3. Acceptable (ie perhaps behind the top 4, but not much) are several including Kirkpatrick, Reiff, Coples, Blackmon, DeCastro, Richardson and J.Martin.

I don't think any of those 3 RBs go in Rd1. Reiff would be SOD at #22; I can't see him making it past #13 right now (but probably top 6). As a Niner fan I'd soil myself if Dre fell this far. Do you think NFL teams are going to be that scared off by the positive test?Nice post

I see him falling because of the drug test and also he is stiff for a CB and has gotten the dreaded tweener lable. And Reiff is falling down charts and it seems each year a tackle falls. And i know the RB's are a bold projection, but hey its something different.

would shock me to see the Browns trade up to get Griffin
Why?
see post #7
:goodposting: We have a ton of holes. No playmakers on offense. Bad against the run....we need talent. I'm ok with RG3 as the pick but only if we get him at 4. Like mentioned earlier, we are much more likely to move down and pick up some more picks before we give them away to move up.

As a Bills fan, I'd be happy with either Upshaw or Coples, although the Bills seem to like workers more than raw talent with motivation issues so I think your mock giving them Upshaw with Coples still out there is a good guess.

If anything Coples draft stock went up after the senior bowl. I think he is a lock as the #1 DE in this draft.
Yeah he was pretty impressive. It's just like one announcer said, he'll be as good as he wants to be. I don't think there is much about his game to criticize. It all boils down to how much effort he wants to put out. If IRRC Upshaw and Ingram had impressive weeks as well.

I have a feeling if Coples continues to grade out well, the Panthers will have more reason to take him. Even if it's close between Coples and Perry, they would take Coples due to him being a UNC player. They get possibly the best DE in the draft and they satisfy the hometown fans.

Seattle either has the #11 or #12 pick, not the #14--looks like you have an old draft order. Also, there is no way Seattle picks a RB unless Trent Richardson gets to them. I fully expect them to sign Lynch to a 4 year deal that probably is backloaded in that final year similar to what we've seen with other contracts with this FO.

I agree with an earlier poster that Quintin Coples probably vaulted himself into the top 10, but if he's there when the Seahawks pick I think there are very few cases (Griffin still on the board) where they wouldn't pick him.

I had Seattle making a trade with Dallas so the pick isn't wrong. And yes there is a chance that Seattle would take a RB if they don't sign Lynch long term (I expect that). And i still don't think Coples is a top 10 player because he is more of a tweener DT/DE and would fit best as a 3-4 LE or a 4-3 pass rushing DT. As for Perry i think he has a great first step and has great technique and balance to be a skilled pass rusher with flexible hips.

As a Packer fan I absolute hate that pick. They have much bigger needs at DL, LB and S. Even with their week running game they still had a top tier offense while their defense was dead last. Thompson essentially ignored the defense in last year's draft and coupled with the loss of Jenkins and the Collins injury they suffered greatly. I fully expect Thompson to upgrade the talent on the defensive side of the ball in this draft.

Why would the Vikings trade out of the 3rd pick for a 2nd rounder next year? That makes no sense.
This is 2012 :) and they get 1.7,2nd and 5th round picks and as for the Packers the DL group is one of the deepest drafts in many many years so i gave them BPA.

I think you're missing the point. The difference between 3 and 7 is worth more than a 2 and 5 next year. Especially for a head coach and gm who better show improvement soon. No way they step back for that little. This is 2012 :) and they get 1.7,2nd and 5th round picks and as for the Packers the DL group is one of the deepest drafts in many many years so i gave them BPA.

No way Reiff makes it past 13, much less 22.

There is no way Kalil drops out of the top 5 IMO. He's the best T to enter in about 3 years. There is no way 4 RBs go in the 1st. I think 2 will and 1 of the about 3 will slip into the later 1st but that is it. I have no idea which one it will be. I'm inclined to think it will be MIller as I think he is the best of the group but you never know.Reiff, like Kalil, is way too low. He's a top 15 player and dropping to 22 given the rarely of T is just not going to happen if you ask me.Kirkpatrick is way too low. He's the 2nd best CB in the draft and is a top 15 talent. Good read and thanks for the effort.

I think you're missing the point. 2012 is this year. And I think moving down 4 spots in return for a 2nd rounder and a 5th rounder is very reasonable.

Not to pick on them because they have some great fans on this board, but the Browns are several good players away from competing. They need a QB badly, but I don't think they can give up both 1st rounders in any circumstance. The whole reason they traded the Julio pick in the first place was because they weren't 1 player away from anything.

I think they stay put and if they miss on RG3, go a different direction.

Logically, your Bengals projections make sense, but they're typically straight BPA so it all depends on their grades more than their needs.
