NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell announced the following games for the 2007 NFL schedule. The full schedule is announced later this spring.

Week 1

Thursday Night: Saints at Colts (NBC)

Sunday: Bears at Chargers (FOX)

Sunday Night: Giants at Cowboys (NBC)

Monday Night: Ravens at Bengals and Cardinals at 49ers (ESPN doubleheader)

Thanksgiving

Packers at Lions (FOX)

Jets at Cowboys (CBS)

Colts at Falcons (NFL Network)

They should pretty much do the Packers at Lions every year for Thanksgiving.

Surprised the NFL didn't want the Bucs back on Turkey Day after their fine showing last year. :goodposting:

Cards/niners on MNF?!? :lmao:

I understand that the majority of good teams are not on the West Coast, but can't they do better than that?!?

I thought the Chiefs were locked into the NFLN Thanksgiving game this year?
Why?
Just how I had remembered the deal. Thought KC was given the first two years.
I know nothing about a "deal", just figured the last thing the NFL wanted was for another lockup with 1 team on Thanksgiving (for any length of time) given the #####ing about Detroit and Dallas having a monopoly on the turkey day games.

Obviously I'm wrong here. I just sorta remembered it. Don't sweat it.

Disagree completely. I'm a fan of neither team, but look forward to a change from the same teams every primetime game.

Cards - Niners..... :X will have HORRIBLE ratingsBut I am pumped for the Bears - Bolts (SuperBowl that should have been.....)...

Cards niners will be just fine. Tons of fantasy implications in that game - leinart,Fitz,Edge,Gore,VDavis.

I'll be watching

Not like they threw the Houston Texans vs Cleveland Browns on there.

Cards/Niners as the 2nd of the doubleheader could certainly be improved upon. Just substitute one of those teams with the Seahawks if you want a good team in there, or insert the Raiders if you want ratings.

But I am pumped for the Bears - Bolts (SuperBowl that should have been.....)...
Funny thing about the SuperBowl, you actually have to win your playoff games to get there. Go figure.
Guzalot is right. You know, Dan, the Colts "should have been" in the Super Bowl following the 2005 season, but they lost at home to the Steelers. They could have cried about it all off-season, but instead they stayed focused and won the next Super Bowl.Let's see if the Chargers are that tough in 2007. For some reason, I doubt it.

my favorite of the openig games is the san fran/ az game . the colts are in a dome (yuk) . the cowboys a dome with a hole in the roof (yuk) . san fran has a great football field with a historical feel . also the cards and 49ers are a couple interesting teams going into this year . sf seemed on the verge of a possible playoff bid for this year at the end of 06. cards might finally have a good coach and will be interesting to see how much lienhart has grown .

"Should have been" is just a reminder that a talented team has to stay focused and not make mental errors a la vs the Pats.....lighten up on the lecturing....the Bolts will be back.....and as for benching LT vs the Bears..... :)
