It looks like it, but Clifton Dawson was also cut according to WIBC (according to a poster on the Indystar.com Colts forum), so I expect the Colts to get another RB. After seeing these RBs, Keith is by far the best of the backups, but I'm surprised both Dawson and Dorsey were cut, so someone else must be coming.

Ware getting cut REALLY surprised me. He played well, and was getting 1st team snaps just a week and a half ago. The Jets kept FIVE TE's. ??? Wierd. 5 TE's and only 4 RB's.

Well Dearth is really the LS, but listed as a TE.... but still.... 4 TE's and two FB's and 2 RB's? I'm pretty pessed. Ware should have made the team. Besides, freakin Jones is still not fully participating in practice, and Ware will get picked up, he won't make it to the TS.

Weaver is really more of a FB with pretty good running skills and soft hands. Makes more sense that they cut Parry and Kirtman (FBs) and Weeks now that they acquired another RB. Shouldn't be too hard to overtake Morris, although I really know nothing about Pearman.

Pearman is a very good blocker/receiver out of the backfield . . . good acquisition, as JAX has the deepest backfield in the league - thus he was expendable . . .

Actually now that I look back at what Morris did in SA absence I think Pearman might have a shot at the #2 job. Morris was awful in relief last year.

Steelers Release 23 Players Following Trade With Atlanta; Trim Roster To 53 PITTSBURGH — The Steelers today released 23 players and made a trade with the Atlanta Falcons in order to trim their roster to the NFL's league minimum of 53 players. The players released from the Steelers roster include WR Dallas Baker, TE Cody Boyd, OT Jason Capizzi, TE Jon Dekker, RB Verron Haynes, CB Chidi Iwuoma, CB Jovon Johnson, FB John Kuhn, S Mike Lorello, CB Anthony Madison, CB Grant Mason, DE Ryan McBean, DE Shaun Nua, C Chukky Okobi, DT Scott Paxson, C Marvin Philip, QB Bryan Randall, LB Ron Stanley, OG Cameron Stephenson, OT Brandon Torrey, WR Gerran Walker, LB Rian Wallace and WR Walter Young. Additionally, the Steelers traded a 2008 conditional draft pick to the Atlanta Falcons for return specialist/cornerback Allen Rossum. Rossum (5-8, 178), a 10-year veteran from Notre Dame, was originally drafted in the third round (85th overall) of the 1998 by the Philadelphia Eagles. He then was traded to the Green Bay Packers and spent two seasons (2000-01) with the team before signing with the Falcons as an unrestricted free agent on March 13, 2002. Rossum, a 2005 Pro Bowl selection as a special teams returner, holds the Falcons record for career punt return yards (1,723), career kickoff return yards (5,489) and career punt returns for touchdowns (2). All NFL teams may sign up to eight players to their practice squad after noon on Sunday, Sept. 2. – 30 –

Great... rossum was one of the reasons I kept the Falcons defense.

I thought for sure Urban would make the cut. He had some good punt returns and is a good ST guy. And looked pretty good in limited action with the Seahawks.
