4x4 10 teams $260 cap.

23-player standard rosters

Sure things:

Brandon Phillips 30

Troy Tulowitzki 22

Lance Berkman 11

John Jay 1

Drew Stubbs 18

Matt Cain 26

Ian Kennedy 11

Jason Motte 6

Bud Norris 1

JJ Putz 15

Jair Jurrjens 17

Potential other keepers include:

John Buck 11

Carlos Ruiz 10

Ryan Zimmerman 36

David Wright 38

Ian Desmond 17

Shane Victorino 28

Dillon Gee 10

Corey Luebke 10

I really like Luebke and he'll earn $10. I think he can be had cheaper in the draft, though, so I hate to waste an extra few dollars and lose the year on the contract for the future.

Desmond intrigues me. My co-owner likes Victorino but I just think he's too pricey.

I think Jurrjens is at the end of ihs value; maybe I shouldn't even keep him.

It would be nice to keep a catcher, but I think they are both a few bucks over their value.

3b - it's a black hole. These guys will probably go for $30 each. They might be the two best players available in the draft. Hard to tell at this point.

Thoughts?

I'd throw JJ back at $17. You may be right about Zim and DW but I'd still throw them back. Given their circumstances (down years/injuries) they probably won't go for too much more than those prices if not a little less. But that could be way off depending on what your league inflation looks like.

I wouldn't keep Desmond at that price and I'd probably keep Luebke.

If you absolutely have to keep one of the 3Bs I'd go with Zim at the moment. I'm concerned about Wright's injury and Zim is destroying the ball right now. He's also slightly cheaper.

Well you have some very nice keepers...............BUTYou are dead wrong about Luebke - you should keep him because he will go for a lot more than that in the auctionAlso I think you are overpaying a lot for Phillips...now I know that in a lot of NL only leagues there won't be much to bid on at 2B but there are cheap options if you have to use them and $30 is too much for him at this point in his career when the steals are not as big a part of his game.I agree that $17 is too much for Jurrjens with his health issues - replace him with Luebke, save the $7 and keep the better pitcherI would not keep either Desmond or Victorino at those prices

As of today, I am considering dropping Phillips (30) and Cain (26) back into the draft and keeping Luebke over Jurrjens.

It frees up a decent amount of cap space and while I'd like to have Phillips back, I think Cain is probably replaceable.

I don't know. I hate this part of the season.
