always knew there was little but confetti up there. you in your wife's country?Just posted about my green chile in the Easter menu thread. Also had some cascarones cracked over my head. Some pretty good traditions and food.
No, just bringing some NM spirit to the DC area. She buys around 20 pounds of green chile through the chile roast sponsored by the UNM alumni association every year — we freeze and have throughout the year. I made some green chile cheeseburgers the other day too.always knew there was little but confetti up there. you in your wife's country?
I stopped by Roswell on my way to Carlsbad a few years back. It's okay -- the UFO Museum is a fine way to kill an afternoon, and lots of alien kitsch at shops around town (as well as some Alien Ale to drink). I'm not sure I'd go out of my way for Roswell though, even if I was that obsessed with it. But worth a stop with a plan focusing on Carlsbad and White Sands.i need to visit Roswell in the worst way. gotta get there.
overnights with Art Bell took me thru some dark days, so this would be nothing short of a pilgrimage.
i've seen thousands of Chemtrails, and once had a rather hirsute neighbor who gave me a satisfactory Bigfoot glimpse, or two.
but Roswell is a whole 'nother ball of waxy goodness.
if you must.
yeah, but ... Aliens!whole lotta nothin, Roswell. my secondary retirement destination was down thataway. there's a microclimate in the mountains between White Sands & Roswell, similar to those of Mexico's mountain ranges. cooler than one would expect in summer, warmer in winter. as a result, a strange community popped up amid the fir trees. Timberon became a refuge for both hippies & survivalist militia types and they get along surprisingly well. Useta be able to get an A-frame or tricked-out trailer for 40K up there. and the community square dances are a hoot. naught but hellish wasteland down the hill, tho -
