No Anthony Gonzalez on week 8 cheatsheets? (1 Viewer)

Probably need to see how much involvement he gets his first week back. He's been out for almost the entire year and all of last year.

Despite the injuries to Clark and Collie, I doubt he's rushed back to a full workload. IMO, White will get more snaps out of the slot, at least this week.

expected to play, yes. to start, not so fast my friend!
I've visited two different Colts' message boards the past few days, and if healthy, the overwhelming opinion amongst Colts fans is it will certainly be Gonzalez getting the slot WR reps and Blair White if and only if Gonzalez has a set back in practice this week or gets injured mid-game. (which is always a possibility with that guy, lol)

Same thing I've been reading as well. Overall consensus on the boards and all of the waiver wire week 8 pick up sites have Gonzalez ahead of White. Take it FWIW, and even if G sits this game he could still be valuable going forward because at some point he's probably going to play a good bit if he's not hurt any more.

For those who say AGonz is starting (much less playing) and those who want to play him (without having seen him contribute anything this year or most of last season)....here is what Gonzalez himself had to say....

".....I'd be surprised if I didn't play"

That doesn't inspire a lot of confidence IMO

Gonzalez put in a full practice today. Beat writer seems to think White and Gonzalez will split the slot. Do folks agree?

As much as I want to add him for a spot start against the Texans "d," I get the feeling the reporter's right. Gonz has admitted that it's still a "recovering injury," and it's doubtful he's conditioned to play the whole game anyway. But all that said, it's still tempting--Collie and Clark out, Texans giving up 300 per.

Anybody have a gut feel one way or the other?

I picked him up and dropped MBIII. That was before I remembered it was the Monday Night game.

My plan was to see if Garcon is going to play (no practice) to decide to plug him in or not. But I think he's worth holding onto with all the injuries Indy's got, Wayne's hurt too.
