NO SHOWs at draft--how to handle? (1 Viewer)

grown men make a commitment to be somewhere and just doesn't show up

My mind is boggled by some people's inability to make plans.True story:

Commish: "Our draft will be Sunday the 15th at 4:00 p.m."

Team 6 Owner: "I'll be there."

(3 days ago)

Team 6 Owner: "I can't make it, I have choir practice every Sunday at 5:00 p.m. and it is way over on the other side of town."

Commish: "Every Sunday? So you knew that 6 weeks ago?"

Team 6 Owner: "Yeah"

Commish: "So why did you say you would be at the draft?"

Team 6 Owner: "Because the draft is at 4:00 and choir practice is at 5:00 and those are two completely different times of day so my tiny brain tells me that I can attend both of them because I never ever think about the duration of events nor do I allow for travel time when I plan things."

Commish: "*sigh*"

ANy guy that would choose choir practice over his FF draft is not worth having in the league.

I'm not sure what's funnier between choir practise over FF or his "inability to plan duration of events or travel time"
