Another sad day for the 49er family. Walsh earlier this year, now Nolan.
As a lifelong 49er fan who just turned 49 last week, I remember the Nolan era well. There were some pretty good Brodie-quarterbacked teams in there. 10-3-1 in 1970 (led the league in points scored), 9-5 in 1971, 8-5-1 in 1972. Playoff wins in '70 and '71. He's of course the father of current 49er HC Mike Nolan. Rest in peace **** Nolan.

Former 49ers head coach **** Nolan passed away on Sunday, according to FOXSports' Jay Glazer.
Nolan is the father of Mike Nolan, who took a leave of absence from the 49ers to be with his dad late in the week. Mike still plans to attend Monday night's game against Seattle. **** was also the coach of the Saints from 1978-80. He coached the Niners from 1968-1975. **** Nolan was 75.
