My mom lives alone. She shops Trader Joe's and Costco because it's close to her. I heard Instacart is pricey. That sucks for the elderly on fixed income. Anyone know of a service up there that isn't expensive for fixed income folks who are high risk to go out? Apparently there are lines for those early am senior hours too! Tia

I would contact the local rep or someone in the government.  I would think that they would have programs to help with this.  Especially in Washington.

Or go to nextdoor and ask for help. I have seen a couple threads on my local that handle this.

Eta: CN's mom would probably have to go on there since it is a local thing

Instacart isn't that pricey in my experience.  It just depends what store you order from.   Most items seem to be listed at 5-10% markup.   Delivery fee ( in my area) is $4 + tip.  Seems like a fair price to pay for convenience.

Try the Dumplings app.  I'm in Gig Harbor and it works great.   Better than instacart IMO.  You get the same shopper every time and they communicate directly with you.   They'll also make multiple stops.
