"The day before the primary, the conservative outlet Breitbart News posted a story that Van Taylor had had a months long affair with a Plano woman, Tania Joya, who he had paid $5,000 to keep quiet...Tania Joya is known as a former jihadist who was once married to a commander for the Islamic State. Tabloids have referred to her as “ISIS bride.”

This is too bad. Taylor seems like a decent fella who really wanted to do good things. He was a moderate who was willing to reach out to the other side. And didn't buy into the Big Lie.

Sorry to see him make this mistake and for it to take him down.

So that is why Breitbart was taking him down.

I was wondering their angle on why the broke the story (at least indicated by the article I read about this) seeing as it was a Republican, but just figured it was tabloid enough for them.

I don't think he would have survived  if it was the paduka monthly

Oh for sure. An affair is one thing, probably hard enough to overcome that, with an ex-ISIS...in Texas prolly not

Just was a bit thrown that Breitbart would be pushing it when I first saw that.
