*** Number 8 Draft Pick Strategy *** (1 Viewer)

Had my 12 team, 14 round draft last night. Standard scoring, no PPR, start 1QB, 2RB, 2WR, TE, K, DST. I was pretty happy with:

1.08 C Portis

2.05 B Edwards

3.08 C Palmer

4.05 E James

5.08 Roy Williams

6.05 Ricky Williams

7.08 Roddy White

8.05 F Taylor

9.08 O Daniels

10.05 M Hasselback

11.08 Reggie Brown

12.05 Rudi Johnson

13.08 M Crosby

14.05 BUF

 Had my 12 team, 18 round, FBG scoring draft last night. I was hoping to get MOSS in Rd. 1 or TO in Rd 2, couldn't pass up getting both of them and still found enough at RB to run with

01.08 WR Randy Moss

02.05 WR Terrell Owens

03.08 RB Brandon Jacobs

04.05 RB Reggie Bush

05.08 TE Kellen Winslow Jr

06.05 RB Chris Perry

07.08 WR Donald Driver

08.05 QB Donovan McNabb

09.08 TE Owen Daniels

10.05 WR Derrick Mason

11.08 RB Leon Washington

12.05 QB Vince Young

13.08 PK Nick Folk

14.05 DEF Jacksonville

15.08 RB Sammy Morris

16.05 RB Derrick Ward

17.08 RB Kevin Jones

18.05 WR Jabar Gaffney

I was surprised with the values I got a TE & QB. McNabb in the 8th? He went earlier in our drafts when he was a rookie. Even though I had Winslow, I took Owen Daniels in the 9th simply to take best value off the board.

I think the key here was taking the 2 top WRs off the board early. That seemed to cause a bit of confusion that lasted several rounds, alllowing some value RBs to fall to me.
