Gradkowski gets ball to Figurs for 10-yard gain, another first down

Gradkowski to the right to Todd Watkins, Phillip Adams on the stop, seven-yard gain. Second-and-3

Gradkowski in shotgun, he rolls right, throws to Jacoby Ford after motioning him to go that way as well against Phillip Adams. Ball goes through Ford's hands, hits him in the face

drive stalls out. punting team on.

Punt into end zone by Watters . . . 49ers take over own 20, first-and-10, Carr to Ziegler on well-timed slant for first down vs. Joe Porter. First-and-10 at 33-yard line. One of their better-timed throws of the game.

Dixon drops pitch, picks it up, then finds room to on left for 8 yards. Second-and-2 at the 40 with Raiders leading 24-20 and 9:20 to go

Dixon getting good yards against Raiders reserves, bulls for first down at the 44-yard line, first-and-10.

Carr to Ziegler again vs. Jerome Boyd, 8-yard gain to the Oakland 48. Second-and-2.

Dixon runs through Ricky Brown tackle for 8-yard gain

Niners driving....

Carr short to Dixon vs. Quinton Groves a 7-yard gain, a steady, unspectacular but effective march so far by 49ers. B all at Oakland 33

Carr misfires to Zeigler, with Ware in coverage, Kellen Heard on pass rush. Third-and-3 from the 33-yard line . . . Carr scrambles on keeper, upended by Ricky Brown, Ware finishes him off, but Carr gets up with first down and points for first down at the 28-yard line

3rd and one after a nice gain by Dixon.

Niners convert on the sneak.

Niners inside the 10 trailing by 4 with 4 minutes left

Dixon carries for five yards to the 4-yard line. First-and-goal for 49ers, 3:21 to go.

Raiders hold on 2nd and 1 from the one yard line,

two minute warning. 3rd and one coming up.

I've not seen Dixon play, but I must say he has been impressive. He'd do well if Gore went down, imo.

Third-and-goal from the 1, first play after 2-minute warning. Crowd about as loud as 30,000 can get . . . Anthony Dixon carries, Carr signals for TD, and referees agree. 49ers score with 1:44 left in the game.

Play is under review . . . if he got over, it wasn't by much . . . pretty inconclusive from what they're showing

Sam Williams looked like he might have walled Dixon off, but don't know if there's enough there to reverse the call

Ruling on field stands. Touchdown, 49ers. A 1-yard run for Anthony Dixon with 1:44 left. Looks like 49ers will go for 2. Love this. Means no possible way there will be overtime. that's my main concern right now, sorry to say. It's preseason. Carr flips 2-point pass to Nate Byham, play-fake roll right, nice throw and catch, Byham gets behind Stevie Brown.

It's 28-24, 1:44 to play. TD or bust for Raiders.

Jacoby Ford doesn't get far on KOR, Britt Miller, stops him at the 26-yard line. Another 74-yard TD pass, perhaps? Gradkowski still in game, playing shotgun, throws high and outside for Brandon Myers, gets an extended hand on it, falls incomplete.

Gradkowski overthrows Todd Watkins with triple coverage vs. Karl Paymah, Paymah gets pass interference. What a break for Raiders

Gradkowski to Myers very short right flat vs. Paymah. A 1-yard gain. Second-and--9 from teh 40 yard line, 1:23 left.

Gradkowski misses big time to Jacoby Ford. Wonder if that was a route issue. Most off-target pass of game by Raiders QBs.

Another deep attempt to yamon Figus falls incomplete, Taylor Mays in coverage, Figurs looked too late to have a chance.

Fourth-and-9, Gradkowski throws one inside 5-yard line to Todd Watkins. Incomplete, but damn that was a nice throw. He could have had it. Went through hands under tight coverage vs. Reggie Smith, Paymah, 49ers can now run out clock.

That's the game...

The TD to Louis Murphy, Murph just flew by the DB and Gradkowski caught him in stride.

The TD by Miller, Miller did some sort of karate scissor kick jump and swivled his hips to cut through the defenders to the end zone.

Both were beautiful plays, but the Raiders fall ths night as their scrubs were better than our scrubs in the 4th Qtr.
