So did my yacht. Oasis is actually a little on the small size. Our boat parked next to it. Its a huge freaking ship.
Cool, thanks.
I've been reading the cruise critic boards trying to get as much information as possible about the ship.
Have you found this thread: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=2017432&highlight=oasis over there? If not, its the best photo recap I've seen in the 6+ years I've been on that board. If you haven't already, be sure to sign up for their Crown & Anchor Society bonus program while on board. Additionally, my wife and I are just back from another RCCL cruise and we tried the Premium Drink package. If you are thinking about this, DO IT. We found it to be totally worth it and came out WAY ahead. Haven't been on Oasis, but have sailed on RCCL several times. Let me know if you have any other general RCCL questions.Cool, thanks.

Rum Runners. You can find them on Amazon. I keep empty M&M big zip lock bags and tuck them in there for further concealment. Skipped them our last cruise for the $55 per/person all you can drink. Surprisingly, I only over did on one of the 7 days, with a nice comfortable buzz the other 6.Not to totally hijack here, but I'm going on my first cruise in ten days. What's the easiest way to get alcohol on board if I'd prefer not to pay $50 bucks a day for a wristband?
I've never done this because I just buy drinks onboard, but I've seen some cruise lines allow people on with "water". Buy a big package of Poland Spring, fill up a bunch of bottles with vodka, put the caps back on, and make sure all of the bottles that are around the perimeter are still actual water. Throw like 5-6 in the middle, preferably underneath a logo or something. Not to totally hijack here, but I'm going on my first cruise in ten days. Most trained dolphin stuff is really inhumane. They're intelligent animals and they'd much rather be out in the ocean with their families. Go snorkeling instead.I understand that, but the kids really want to swim with the dolphins. Kind of a once in a lifetime chance.....or at least limited opportunities.
Nice pics. The ship looked decent as well.Have you found this thread: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=2017432&highlight=oasis over there? Agreed. Book everything yourself.I would never do a cruise excursion. You spend a ton of money and you are 100% on their timetable. Meet in the lobby at this time, board a bus, meet back at the bus at this time, etc, etc. This is the part of cruising where people feel most like they're being herded on and off like cattle. When you get off the ship in Nassau, just go find a cab or one of the little boats for a more scenic tour over to Paradise Island. Make sure you leave a little extra time when you come back, no biggie. You'll spend a fraction of the price and you'll give yourself literally hours more time to do whatever you wanna do.
Minor detail, but we wont be on the Oasis, it was just one of the few "Cruise" threads here. We'll be on a Carnival ship.
In any case, it seems I'd prefer to go to the Blue Lagoon and that doesn't appear to be offered from my ship so Id be directly booking anyways.
I'm not going to get into treatment as I believe they are treated very well. They are very intelligent. The particular dolphin we swam with was rescued after Katrina. Well, techinically her pregnant mother was and she was born in captivity. I believe they said 10 of the 16 dolphins they had came from Katrina. Most trained dolphin stuff is really inhumane.
