At first, I didn't care at all about President Trump being investigated....if they could list even a single crime...I'd say go for it.
It didn't take too long to figure out that there was no crime...even more obvious when they kept changing their accusations...it became real obvious that the Democrats were looking for a crime in order to undo an election.....and that's when I became to his defense.

Once they failed at that...it was all about sabotaging his reelection.
Hell...Pelosi passed out pens at the "solemn occasion" of an impeachment!!!
It was laughable!

They STILL haven't listed a crime that they are investigating....It's just a hodgepodge of things that COULD have happened.

The Republicans are issuing subpoenas to answer to the existing evidence.
While Democrats were issuing subpoenas in order to find some evidence....which they hoped would, (and did not) lead to a crime.

Sorry, do you mean Horowitz? He’s done 3 reports. That’s done. One of his findings was that the FBI had a predicate to conduct the investigation.

I’m open to it. In fact I’ve posted the whole reports, and read good bits of them. I’m interested, but the worst I’ve seen so far is Clinesmith. The Woods procedure abuses in the Page Fisa were found to be systemic and really the Page findings were some of the most minor out of the 3rd report.

Had horowitz multiple times, Durham, now Graham and senate Republicans m...but yeah keep digging  hope they find something (all while complaining that Mueller who was pretty damn quick...took too long and wasted money).

Yes, and you already have that - it’s the Ted Stevens case. And it was uncovered by the same Judge who has been hearing the Flynn case.

Ive spent time posting from reports, transcripts and actual 302s and that kind of thing in the FBI thread. It’s how I try to learn about this stuff. But I guess I’ll keep an eye out for anything new that comes out of these hearings.

Background

In March 2020, the OIG issued a Memorandum regarding the preliminary findings from its audit of 29 historical FISA applications.  The audit was designed to determine whether the contents of the FBI’s Woods files supported the factual statements in these applications.  The OIG found deficient documentation in these accuracy (i.e., Woods) files and potential errors.  Specifically, the OIG found that FBI was unable to produce the Woods files for 4 of the 29 applications, and the OIG identified numerous apparent errors or inadequately supported facts in all 25 of the 29 applications for which Woods files could be produced.

The OIG did not determine whether any factual assertions in the applications were inaccurate, materially or otherwise.  In addition, when the OIG found a fact unsupported by a document in the Woods file, the OIG did not give the FBI the opportunity to locate a supporting document for the fact outside the file. 

The Department has reviewed the OIG’s preliminary findings for each application.  Each of these applications was also subject to an independent accuracy review.  The Department was able to resolve many of the potential issues identified by the OIG. The FBI was also able to compile Woods files for the 4 applications where an original Woods file could not be located, and the FBI was able in many instances to locate documentation to support a factual assertion either elsewhere in the Woods file or in other files available to the FBI.  Based on the Department’s findings, of the hundreds of pages of facts contained in the 29 applications audited by the OIG, the Department has identified only one material misstatement and one material omission, neither of which we assess to have invalidated the authorizations granted by the FISC.  These findings have been provided to the FISA Court and were posted publicly today.

I think Not Acting Sec. DHS Chad Wolfe said on Fox on Sunday that DOJ was doing just this, and I think Barr hinted at this with Trump by his side yesterday. As with everything with this administration, damn. The president could just be wholly inventing something in his own mind or to confuse people, it's possible he was informed of something and his crazyquilt brain misinterpreted the info, it's possible DOJ is investigating private citizens for free speech, organized or not. Who knows, but they've made noises like this. Keep in mind the IRS merely looking at conservative political activities in the context of tax free regulations was enough to generate contempt proceedings and years of investigation.

From what I have heard on a number of shows is that the election does not matter to Durham, he wants convictions out of this and will take his time to make sure he has rock solid cases to get them.   Could get messy next year.
