10 team dynasty PPR. QB and OP slot. 3wr, 2 Rb, rb/wr, TE.

My team:

Qbs: Rodgers, BB, Mariota

Rbs: Ware, Crowell, Howard, Woodhead, Kamara, Forte, C. Michael, Gallman

Wrs: OBJ, Evans, Cooper, Shepard, Mike Williams, Treadwell, Juju, Reynolds, Dorsett, Carroo

TEs: Rudolph, Njoku, Pitta, Allen

Just received this offer:

Get - Reed, Lamar Miller, Melvin Gordon, Tyreek Hill (this league includes punt return yards btw)

Give: OBJ, Crowell, Rudolph, Woodhead

Questions: How do I value Hill with Maclin getting cut and the chiefs not drafting any help?

Reed is a top 3 TE when healthy...but what about his litany of concussions?

I feel like I want to decline this because of how valuable obj is (and I'm higher on Crowell than most) but I'm definitely getting some valuable pieces. Thoughts?

Wow, that's a blockbuster!

Let's break this down.

Currently your lineup is Rodgers, Big Ben, Howard, Crowell, OBJ, Evans, Cooper, Rudolph, and one RB/WR which could be many.

After the trade, lineup is Rodgers, Big Ben, Howard, Gordon, Miller, Evans, Cooper, Hill, and Reed.

I like the after trade lineup better for THIS year.  You lose a lot at WR but you gain a lot at RB, flex and TE.  But it does take on some risk.  Does Hill take the next step?  Is Reed one concussion for being out the NFL?

As much as I would not want to trade OBJ, this is a pretty good haul for him, and Hill is more valuable due to return yardage.  Also, KC cut Maclin, so they must feel REALLY good about Hill as their lead receiver.

I would probably do it, but I can see the other side.  It's real close.  I like the after trade lineup for this year, but you are sacrificing some dynasty value since OBJ is going to be a stud for another 4-5 years.  But you have a contending team, so you're trying to win it now.

Would you like it better with Henry instead of Miller? Maybe not great for the "win now" idea but a better long term prospect that is one Demarco Murray injury away from being a workhorse.

Lineup would be:

Rodgers BB

Howard Gordon

Evans Hill Cooper

Flex: lots

TE: Reed

I think the deal is reasonable because of your strength at WR.  You can absorb the downgrade from OBJ to Hill.  I like Crowell a lot and think Woodhead will do well in Baltimore but I really like Gordon.  As far as Miller goes I am not that high on him so he is a bit of a question.  Reed is a huge boost to your TE and although there is risk in him getting hurt it doesn't really put you in a bad spot because you still have a couple guys that are ok (and equal to what you have without Reed really).

As far as substituting Henry for Miller.......I am not so sure about that.  I guess with the depth you do you have (Ware, Howard, Gordon) you wouldn't need Henry in most weeks and can wait to have him develop a larger role.  I guess I would lean towards putting in Henry if you think he will be the guy next year.

I wouldn't do this. You're trading the number one asset for a bunch of guys who have had one good year....it could easily go bad for you. OBJ has more value than this.
