OBX - give me the run down (1 Viewer)

Yeah, if you're going somewhere south of Kill Devil Hills down to Hatteras, and getting there on Saturday, I highly recommend going in over the Manteo Bridge instead of the Wright Brothers. It's out of the way, but faster on Saturdays between May and September.
Just Saturday? I am heading in on a Sunday, should I still detour?

Hard to say. Some properties turn over on Sunday, but most do Saturday. That could break either way.

:blackdot: Heading there for the first time at the end of August... looks like we are staying in Kitty Hawk.

Just got back from my 9 day Indian Beach vacation. It was hot as balls down there but the beach was clean, it was laid back, and it had a good family vibe to it. I did spend a good amount of time in Beaufort, which I enjoyed very much. I spent a lot of time fishing from the Bogue Inlet Pier and other places. Hit up some local joints for food (Sanitary, Big Oak BBQ) and had some nice meals. Thanks for the info guys, I do appreciate it. BTW, I drove down the coast from Delaware, which was a nice cruise.

Anyone here have experience with getting OBX rentals for a group? Looking to go with seven other guys and the fine print on just about every house says it prohibits "non-family" groups. A quick googling and talking to a few people seems to suggest all of the rental companies say this and people just go and don't make a scene, but I'd prefer to avoid the liability if possible.

We are all late 20s/early 30s and it seems strange to have nowhere to accommodate our situation considering the golfing/fishing nearby. We were initially looking at the Nags Head area but don't know the area so open to other ideas as well.
