Does trading Ocho make Mike Brown a hypocrite considering his stance on Palmer? At the end of the day, I think Palmer gets moved to the fins for a 2nd.
They were offered the 21st pick in the draft and a 3rd rounder that could become a 1st rounder based on Johnsons stats. The Bengals weren't going to trade their best player for that when they were in "win now" mode at the time. They won the division a year later with Chad. Now is a completely different situation. Chad is declining, our team is rebuilding, and we are set at WR. It now makes sense to trade him.Man, its crazy how the Cincy bashing on this board is making the Bengals fans sound like Mike Brown apologists.

Agree man - this stupid line about the 1st and non-1st to Washington has to die. On top of what you said they would've gotten an immediate $8m cap hit. They had just cut Chris Henry who was their #3 at the time. Basically all they would've been left with was Houshmandzadeh by himself. -QG
The biggest difference is I think Cincy wanted to get rid of Ocho this time around. I dont think they were concerned with Ocho's demands. They'd still like to keep Palmer.
