My initial thought was that Victorino would have a big night for the N.L. since he usually supersedes expectations on a grand stage but with him starting now in place of Beltran, he is likely to not be around late in the game to have such an impact.

I expect the National League to find a way to lose and my money is on the newest addition to the game on the A.L. side, Chone Figgins, to have a crucial impact in tonight's game.

My money is on Ryan Franklin, the St. Louis Cardinal himself, on giving up the win to the A.L.

NL is due to win and I still consider this to be the best all-star game in the 4 major sports. To be honest as much as I dislike the NBA, their game is a close second.

Hockey is ridiculous with all the scoring and the NFL game rivals a bad high school foots game as far as entertainment value.

Just showed Barack's first pitch. Basically a curveball that Pujols grabbed before it fell to the ground in front of the plate.

Lordy, that Obama makes Clinton look like W. He is a smooth cat who's up on sports, or at least is able to project that he is. What a great guest.

And for the record, Halladay hype takes a right to the jaw tonight!

Good game, not a great technical broadcast. They've gotten three downstream keys wrong (names), missed the Prez's pitch, they had mic trouble when interviewing Halliday, and Joe Buck is in the booth. B+ game, Fox gets a D like they do with all their baseball coverage.

Joe Bryant to the white courtesy phone....

If this holds up, the AL will have home field advantage in the World Series because a pitcher from the 15th best team in the NL gave up the winning run. That Bud Selig sure is smart!

Hmmm, Crawford, odd choice to me. Great catch, but the game was tied at that point.

I would have much rathered Rivera in this case if we are awarding on the notion of, I don't know, saving the game.

Nice catch but not an amazing one.
