so, was that the series finale?
I don't think so. The do their "Seasons" in two parts, and the last couple months was Part 1 of Season 15. Doesn't look like they plan to deviate from that.
oh, I thought this was the second half of the season. huh, really felt like I was watching them shut it down.
I agree, it definitely felt like it. Would have been a good way to go out, too. Only thing that was kind of weird is that they were talking about people being cynical and pessimistic and thinking everything is ####, at a time when it seems like the entire world is saying that they just wrote the greatest musical in the history of everything.

I hadn't watched in a long time, but some east coast friends on the other board thought it was a powerful yet depressing episode. I agree

Though I now have "Landslide" stuck in my head

They're under contract through like 2013 and they get paid huge amounts of money so I don't think this is the end of the series. But what a depressing episode. Reminded me of this fake Calvin and Hobbes cartoon:http://www.joeydevilla.com/2008/01/08/calvin-and-hobbes-now-with-ritalin/

I can't tell if that was just a swing and miss episode like the "Losing Edge" they did a few years ago or some F-you to fans for not liking their recent episodes. Or, simply making fun of themselves for also being pessimistic about everything.

Decent episode last night ... but I can't wait for the "Making of South Park" on Sunday night. I've wanted to see the process forever.

"We're gonna have to throw Eric Cartman under the bus."

"How do we do that?"

"We get a bus... and then... we throw Eric Cartman... under it."

What are the chances that next week's episode isn't about the Penn State fiasco?
Next week might be a little too quick of a turnaround. But it's coming.Anyone else  about last night's episode?
If you're a devoted History Channel watcher, it was spot on.
That may be true but the problem is it wasn't funny. Satire is great when it's entertaining. I didn't find that episode entertaining at all. I really disliked that episode.

Next weeks episode about PSU: the kids tell officer Barbrady that Timmy was molested by a teacher. Barbrady: "I'll tell my supervisor but until then, move along nothin to see here".

Why they quit using so many of the secondary characters like Barbrady, Ned, Jim, the bus driver(was her name crabtree?)?

Pretty much a waste of a half hour.

You should check out the documentary that aired the other night, "Six Days To Air". They've gotten down to turning around every episode in less than a week. They show up on Thursday morning, the day after air, and start writing the episode for the next Wednesday night. From the POV of someone in the industry who focuses on turnaround all the time, it was amazing to see.... but they did just do an NCAA parody episode, so, could be to soon for a trip back to the well. Plus, I don't think they're going to find much fun in kid rape.

Absolutely brilliant tonight IMO.

Everyone knew they were going to touch on Penn St (no pun intended) but they really picked a great way to do it. They used a painfully annoying and corny side character to make stupid re-tread jokes.

They're basically baiting everyone who doesn't "Get it" to jump down their throats and get all up in arms about how inappropriate it is to joke about the situation. But in reality, the whole episode was a commentary on how joking about the situation is pointless and cliche.

Mrs. Crabtree died

Fantastic. The Packers missed call was 2 nights ago and they still cut up on it. I would have loved to see Goodell showering in Butters Creamy Goo.

Matt And Trey Make History Blowing ‘South Park’ Deadline, Blame Power Outage

By LISA DE MORAES, TV Columnist | Wednesday October 16, 2013 @ 1:42pm PDTTags: Comedy Central, Matt Stone, South Park, Trey Parker
For the first time in South Park history, its creators blew deadline. Tonight’s episode did not get finished, Comedy Central announced this afternoon. “On Tuesday night, South Park Studios lost power. From animation to rendering to editing and sound, all of their computers were down for hours and they were unable to finish episode 1704 Goth Kids 3: Dawn of the Posers in time for air tonight,” the network said. “It sucks to miss an air date but after all these years of tempting fate by delivering the show last minute, I guess it was bound to happen,” Trey Parker added in a statement.

The episode will air next Wednesday, October 23rd. Tonight, Comedy Central will offer a rerun Live-Tweeted (I know, oxymoronic) presentation of Scott Tenorman Must Die at 10:30 p.m. ET/PT
