Game 4: Saturday at SF

Game 5: Sunday at SF

Game 6: Tuesday at KC

Game 7: Wednesday at KC

 
I'll be at game one and two. First world series games for me since game 1 1985 as a seven year old.. And we lost.

Royals in 6.

Kc already swept this team once in August.

 
Expect a rabid crowd for Game 1 especially and all the KC home games.

Last night, the sporting goods store near my house had at least 200 people lined up outside waiting to buy Royals AL Champs swag.

C'mon man, you've win two series in the last five years. Don't be greedy just dump this series. If I'd had the run the giants have had I'd probably quit baseball because I had seen a lifetimes worth of championships

It was a long wait for a lot of Giants fans. 2002 game 6 when Ortiz was pulled with no pen was the worst sports fan moment of my life.

The regular season series really doesn't tell us anything about the World Series. Nobody was trying to line up pitching matchups in August. That's why I think it's funny you keep citing that as evidence KC is going to win.

I think it's going to be a good series. I will happily take Yost trying to play chess with his decisions.

The off days set up nicely to start Bumgarner on regular rest in Game 1. The DH will allow Bochy to get Morse's bat into the lineup in KC and take Butler's out in SF.

It's strange for the Giants who've been underdogs in every playoff series since 2010 positioned as the bad guys vs. America's new favorite team. The Royals' story has been a great one for a fanbase that has suffered through decades of bad baseball. At some point they're going to wake up and the Giants will still be there plugging away and taking whatever is given.

See I don't even want it to be a good series... i'd love to see another sweep without the extra inning dramatics by KC

but realistically the Giants are probably scrappiest team using somewhat similar strategies (minus the speed) we've played to date.

not to mention if the Cindarella team even blinks, this is a W.S. experienced team that won't be possessed by the moment.

 
Woo is confirmed for Game 1!

Sung Woo Lee, a Royals superfan from Korea, is making a return trip to Kauffman for Game 1 of the series. Josh Swade is filming a documentary about Woo for the 30 For 30 series, and part of it will be about Woo coming back to KC to see the Royals play in the postseason.

Swade is the guy who rallied KU boosters to buy the original paper of Naismith's rules of basketball when it went up for auction a couple years ago and bring the birth document of the sport to Lawrence. He made a subpar 30 For 30 doc about his quest.

the whole @Koreanfan_KC subplot to the Royals' August hot streak was awesome although SWL wearing a t-shirt with his own face on it is taking it a bit far IMO.

I was thinking the same thing earlier this morning. Seems like the media still perceive the Giants as the underdog in the WS too. I feel like if the Giants could take down the Nationals, they can beat anyone, but after seeing KC thus far in the playoffs and watching the regular season games vs the Giants they make me way more nervous than I was against the Cards.

8-0 is impressive but don't forget 8-2 for SF is pretty damn impressive too. I thought Washington had the best team to succeed in the postseason before the wildcards but wasn't really managed well by Williams in a few key spots.

The Royals will definitely be an interesting series. I don't think the Angels nor the Orioles are anywhere close to the Giants in terms of having a blue print to succeed in October. Oakland would have been a tougher series (more than one game) out for them IMO.

I'm not going to give as much weight to their gaudy hitting stats as a lot of people want to. SF has a better pen and manager to use it than they have seen. On the flip side, their pen is scary good and they fly all over the field on defense right now.

I anticipate a close series - closer than either team has seen in W/L thus far. But I will give the edge to the better manager, a catcher who should be to minimize KCs ability to steal bases, and the team with the better #1 starter. SF in 7.

Books gamble, too. Splitting the money and collecting the juice is easy, but they will take a stand on games where they know the public's generally on the wrong side and try to scalp the large masses of novice shmoe novice bettors.

 
I'm hurting for tickets. :(

If I thought the series would go that long I'd buy game 6 tix and fly to KC.

I couldn't resist. I just dropped a rack to take my daughter to her first World Series game on Tuesday.

We'll be way up near the top between home plate and first base.

We are on the same page amigo.I want to take my 3 sons but all I'm seeing is 15-2400 per. I do well but still Ouch.

 
Not a fan of either team, but live near SF and thinking about going to one of the games. Figure it's going to be an amazing experience just as a fan of baseball.

Wouldn't surprise me one bit.

After eliminating the Angels, Hosmer tweeted from the locker room which bar he was going to after team finished celebrating. He showed up at the bar at 1 am, bought drinks for the house, and also bought a couple bottles of champagne and sprayed the crowd with them.

 
I went to game 1 in '85 as a small child and my outfield seat was $25.

We lost that game.

I'll be there tonight and the face price (which is what i paid) of my outfield seat is $220

I'm hoping for a better result this time!

Woo was mobbed by the press when his plane landed today. Other celebrities on the flight, including Lenexa KS native Royals/KU superfan Paul Rudd, walked right off the plane without hassle.

 
Panik's getting all of his rookie and arb years bought out for 60mm. When Brian Kenny tried to inquire further, Sabean appared to lift his leg and release gas.
