I missed college football. Great game to start it off tonight. Looking forward to a bit of this Wash St/BYU game, especially with the Leach factor.

We're really taking it down to the last ####### minute with the tailgate bus. For some reason, my dad decided to let it sit all summer and then take it last week to be repainted. Oh, and he told the guy today about a coolant leak that "should be" fixed tomorrow.

Slap some duct tape on it and you're good to go!

Rumors running wild that Uverse will be picking up the LHN effective this weekend. Whining Aggies currently bombarding the Uverse Facebook page.

Shannon Spake is bringing some nice boobs to the table here in this game. Combined with Samantha Steele in the first game, I think we've entered a golden era in sideline reporting.

Bizarre play in Kent State game. Punt Coverage guy looked like he could have been returner.http://www.cbssports.com/collegefootball/blog/eye-on-college-football/19985509/video-kent-state-lb-andre-parker-recovers-fumble-runs-58-yards-the-wrong-way
:lmao: I saw that. Good. #### Kent State.
Although the play was dead once he touched it anyway, a nice job by the Towson guys to run him down and make sure he never made it to the end zone. :lmao:

Love kicking things off with a full dose of Spurrier.
Wonder if S. Carolina will ever win the SEC with Spurrier coaching?
They are closer then they have ever been, but it is going to be tough to win the East while the SOS is that much tougher than UGA's. They would have a fighting chance against Bama/LSU/ARK if they make it.
This is the year that Carolina can really make noise. If they manage to get through the regular season with only a loss at LSU, and can win the SECCG, then would have a realistic shot at being that one loss team that makes it. I bet they're really pissed that there isn't a playoff system this year.

What's worse....him running the wrong way or multiple guys on Townsend who tried to tackle him?

I vote for the coach(es) that berated the Towson players for tackling him and not knowing the play was dead already.

Going to have to do much better in the secondary to make that run. I think the offense will come together though.

If they lose Shaw, they're done. I love Lattimore, but he can't carry them with zero a zero threat backup QB. I was giddy for football to start, but if this were a game 3 weeks in, I'd have turned it off. I didn't see a top 10 team on the field last night.

Was driving last night, so didn't get to watch the game. They should roll through the next 5 games easily until they get UGA at home. That should be the true test before going on the road to LSU.

Certainly not. Lattimore is clearly not 100% and Clowney didn't look very good either. The team has a lot of work to do, but they were slow out of the gate last year too.

I completely understood last year's slow start. There's no excuse this year IMO. The biggest positive I saw for SC last night was Shaw. Last year he looked scared most of the time. Last night, he was the clear leader of that team. They'll be fine if he stays healthy, but if they lose him, I have a feeling it'll get ugly quick. I think Lattimore was rusty, but that's to be expected IMO. He'll be fine. The O-Line's going to have to step up their game though.

I agree, but Shaw did get better down the stretch last year. He needs to keep progressing. As soon as the schedule came out, this game scared me as a likely letdown. Just happy to make it through after everything that went wrong in the first half. They showed a lot of heart.

From an article...
By rule, a muffed punt cannot be returned -- or retreated -- and the ball was spotted where Parker grabbed it at the Towson 7.

Stay Classy LSU and perhaps force folks down there to take an english class??

OSU fans not to be outdone At least their grammar was correct??
SEC fans won't get this.
Oh good, since Hucks is gone, you're here to pick up his make fun of the south shtick. BRAVO! Well played, sir. Well played.
I take my shots at fanboys nationwide.
What are you doing in this thread if you don't like college football? Do you even root for a team?
I love watching college football games. I don't understand your second question.
WTF? DO YOU HAVE A FAVORITE TEAM? It wasn't a quantum physics questions. And you hate fans boys? You are in the wrong thread dude.
Calm down now. I answered the most important question you posed. The other one is irrelevant. Who you root for doesn't make you better or smarter or closer to God than somebody rooting for another team. If knowing who one roots for is really important to someone, then I suggest that that someone likes rooting for a team more than that someone likes football.
Rooting for team is like rooting for your state or region. That is why I root for LSU first and then the SEC second. Because I root for my "boys"....people I grew up with, my state. It's a pride thing. It's a southern thing. College football represents more than a game...it is like a religion in the south. It respresents us a people.

Ah. The smell of college football. Not here untill the SEC bashing and supporting begins.

I'm trying to figure out if we're on the same side or not. With your avatar, it seems unlikely.

I honestly don't blame Tennessee fans for rooting for the SEC, they certainly aren't going to see any good teams playing home games in Knoxville.

Count me as one saying "Roll Ducks" 2 years ago. Everyone else in the conference is alright, especially when they play Auburn.

Watching Temple-Villanova on espn3 while waiting for the real games to begin. Villanova just had a pretty impressive drive. Temple's run defense got shredded.

Right. Someone criticize the Big 12 and you Big 12 guys get fired up real quick. Ditto for all other conferences.
