The scheme isn't much different than what RR does. The gimmick part is the pace. They hope to wear you down which allows their speed to be even more of a factor. However, their offense has never been a question for me. To me it's the defense and what the defense can/can't do to teams they'd likely face in the "championship" game. For instance, if they played Alabama, I'm willing to bet that Alabama cuts that defense like hot knife through butter. It WILL take Alabama longer to wear them out, but they'd be in no hurry and be perfectly fine with 10-15 play drives lining up and running the ball taking 6-8 minutes off the clock per possession. Until Oregon shows they can line up and stop a power running game, I'll remain very skeptical of Oregon being legit for the "championship" discussion. Problem is, they won't run into a team like Alabama anywhere on their schedule. Stanford and USC are the closest thing they play against but USC just doesn't have the depth and Stanford doesn't have the types of players necessary.
