If you are not a fan of defense then the Baylor vs West Virginia game is the one to watch. Both pass defenses are shaky to say the very least :banned:

Meanwhile, Canes are playing in front of a crowd estimated in the hundreds.http://twitpic.com/azgy1aI think they had a bigger crowd at the HS game in Yulee last night with Fred Taylor's son.
There is way more people at the game than this. That photo is a massive misrepresentation.

Matt Hayes ‏@Matt_HayesSNThe #Canes sideline (players) is louder, more excited, than the 2,500 in the stadium.

I've been watching the game and there are clearly more people there than that pic shows. The stadium is embarrassingly empty for a Mia game. It's just not nearly what the pic shows.

I've never seen a non-fan wanting a particular team to be "good" this much before  It's week 5, WGAS? Oh and "IN" before the "the BCS and how it works makes me act this way" shtick.
Not sure what you are saying here but I want Washington to be good so it will make LSU's victory look that much better.
Have you EVER stopped to think that there are so many factors in a season that this just doesn't matter? The biggest one you'll have to tackle is that Washington's going to improve (as most teams will throughout the season) but that doesn't change the fact that they were pretty bad in the LSU game? Same thing for Alabama beating Michigan. I am confident that Michigan's going to end up being pretty good, but that team that was on the field Sept 1 flat out sucked. However, you are filling in my initial comment nicely. Keep up the good work!
Funny, you didn't seem to feel this way when LSU beat Auburn.Despite that, if Wash were to do something like say.... Win the PAC12. There is no way that doesn't resonate with voters when LSU thrashed them. It would improve their SOS and quality wins. There is no way around that.
Lsu almost lost to a pretty bad auburn team. That has nothing to do with this. I do agree with your final comments and it's unfortunate. I can't wait for these polls to be reduced in importance

Yeah LSU almost lost, but they didn't loose. Stanford DID loose. Winning conference games on the road is important and it's not easy. Most of these conferees teams hate and know each other well. Almost loosing won't matter at the end of the year if LSU wins them all or wins all but Bama. It won't matter because 99% of the other teams won't almost loose them. They will loose them. As we just saw with Stanford. Stanford should have won that game. They didn't. LSU should beat Auburn. They did.Like I said before, not all Ws are going to be pretty. LSU has a penchant for winning lots of games ugly because of their style.

It does apply to your point about Wash being better now vs when they played LSU. Did you ever consider that Auburn was better when they played LSU than they were prior? It's no different. The season is a journey and every team will have weeks they play better or worse than others. The elite teams are the one who will find ways to win even on the weeks they are "down."

You're putting words in my mouth. I haven't said that Washington has improved. That will be known at the end of the year. It will also probably be found that stanfords rise into the top ten was a major blunder as well. Similarly we will see if auburn improved overnight before playing lsu or if lsu just laid an egg. That looked to be the case but I certainly understand that looks can be decieving.

LSU was clearly the better team than Auburn. They simply made a lot of mistakes that aren't likely to happen on a weekly basis.

This Baylor/WVU game is fun. They may both score 60 today.
I know I am in the minority but I don't really enjoy games with no defense. It is better than games with no offense but I can watch track if I want to see people running untouched. This is just pitiful.
Unless you have a huge bet on the over, I kind of agree. It's fun for a quarter or so, then it just gets ridiculous.

Have to wonder if Paul Johnson survives this on the heels of the collapse against Miami. Tech doesn't have the same expectations some other schools have, but this is pretty bad.

Al Groh will be fired at end of the season because Paul will never blame himself. He did the same thing to Dave Wommack a few years ago. Team just lacks talent because no one wants to play in these schemes and it's hard enough to recruit with the academics anyway. It is what it is.

UB still hanging around with UConn, down 24-14 going into the 4th. C'mon boys...
I just do not understand offensive playcalling. UB is down 24-17, no timeouts left. 1st and 10 at their own 33, they've just run for a first down on a 3rd and 1. 59 seconds left, the clock starts running when the ref sets the ball. UB runs a 6-yard slant. Pass is complete. They manage to snap the ball on 2nd and 4 with 29 seconds left. Who the #### decides that a 6-yard slant pattern when you're at your own 33 with no timeouts and 59 seconds on the clock is a good idea? Jesus ####### christ.

Nice game for those that did come.

The B12 is going to be a lot of fun this year.

I really love that they all play each other and there won't be a CCG.

Hoping Texas can score with Okie State tonight. Austin will be crazy next weekend if WVU and Texas are both undefeated when they meet up.
