I am 100% serious when I say that Jameis Winston could start in the NFL today. Today. I don't think I've seen such an NFL-ready prospect since probably RGIII. I didn't see enough of Luck in college to say for sure on that one. But regardless, he stands tall, poised, no happy feet, sets when he throws, feels pressure from all angles, can make all the throws, makes smart decisions, and can run when he needs to. I know scouts love Teddy Bridgewater, but I'd rather have Winston today. He's the real deal. Wow.

If he's not an NFL superstar in ~5 years, I will be stunned.

I just hope the Noles are able to play for a title in one of his two years here. Would feel like an awful waste if they don't.

You know, I typed that and thought the same thing. Not a good example because RGIII was such a great prospect as well. Before RGIII, I'd have to go back til I don't know when. Outside of Winston and RGIII, I can't recall ever being this impressed watching a college QB.

I bet on Illinois to win, and of course Nebraska's defense decides to show up.

Probably Vick for me. So impressive as a freshman. Still one of my 3 favorite college players to watch.

This is ridiculous. FSU has played nobody. Yeah that includes this overrated Maryland team. Winston's a great prospect, but slow you're roll here.

WatchESPN is so awesome. I'm sitting here with a sick kid in the ER and I'm watching 3 games at once. I know, not father of the year material saying all that or anything but kid is asleep for the moment. Wife was like I'll come up there, I'm like nope. No way I can watch all these games in peace at home lol.

I agree I'm going a little over the top, but I absolutely love watching him play. It's the little things that separate the good players from the great ones....even in an overmatched game like this one, the little things still pop up even if a team wins by 40. A QB playing for a great team can overcome a lot of mistakes in a game against a weaker team....the mistakes that good college QBs and young NFL QBs make - I just don't see those mistakes from Winston yet.

A lot can happen to change things...an injury, maybe a concussion and he starts to second-guess himself like Trent Edwards did back. But he just looks phenomenal right now.

You don't see those mistakes because he's not running and NFL offense or facing a NFL defense. Both of which are far more complex. College defensive scheme compared to NFL defensive scheme is like comparing Jr High to D1. I agree with you on a lot of what you're saying though. He looks like a future top 5, perhaps top overall pick. I still want to see him play against equally talented competition though.

He gets Clemson in 2 weeks, Miami 2 weeks later, and then Florida to end the season. If he can keep up the same pace against them, he's the clear Heisman favorite IMO and top pick in 2015.

He has better poise, a better arm, and better accuracy than the guy he replaced, right now. Give him a year to refine his skills and the sky is the limit.

So when other teams lose 63-0, they're mocked and told they don't belong in FBS.

It's such a crock ... there are plenty of mediocre/terrible teams in BCS conferences who would get rolled by the likes of Northern Illinois, Boise State and Fresno State.

No.

UNC's secondary definitely helped but Logan Thomas looked pretty good.

VT definitely can't be wtitten off from an outside shot to steal another ACC title.
