***Official 2022 Buffalo Bills Bandwagon Thread*** (1 Viewer)

Good time to turn to Marv Levy’s words as the focus turns to the off-season.

Fight on, my men, Sir Andrew said. A little I’m hurt but not yet slain. I’ll just lie down and bleed a while and then I’ll rise and fight again.

You sure that's not a Monty Python quote? Just a flesh wound...

Bills need to build a Dome if they have any hopes of winning with Josh. Enjoyed having him as a fantasy QB for 3 years in my keeper (coincidentally 0 titles), but he’s a clearly #3 QB at best in AFC and as a finesse team I think hosting playoff games in a dome is their only shot. Pat and Joe just too good
I keep hearing this take "they're the new Colts." No running game and too many injuries was what killed them, not the weather or field surface.

Both their lines got pushed around pretty good yesterday - there's not a QB in the league that was winning that for Buffalo yesterday.

They were absolutely manhandled

Is it just me, or is there suddenly a lot of online hate for the Bills? I don’t know if it’s because fans are angry about how the NFL handled the fallout from the Hamlin situation or what, but all of a sudden there seems to be a lot of animosity towards the Bills from a lot of corners.

I think I’d be more accepting of it if the Bills had won a Super Bowl or two, or if their players were a bunch of jerks, or if this franchise didn’t constantly have crappy insane things happen to it.
People are embarrassed their preseason picks let them down.

Definitely how the NFL handled the scheduling.

Not even hate for the Bills, it just made the Bengals (and Chiefs) more enticing to root for. League was trying to screw them at every turn, so you wanted to see them overcome it.

Also doesn't help that it's Cincy. Most of us got on the Bills bandwagon because it would be awesome to see them win it all after all the franchise has been through. But the Bengals franchise has been through a lot too. So it's real easy to just transfer all those good vibes to the Bengals. For us free agents, seeing either Buffalo or Cincy win it would be equally cool.

If this all happened with the Patriots or Steelers, the fans would have reacted differently.

now what do we do?

Lots of things. First Frazier's contract is expired. Let him go. McD needs to bring in a new coordinator that goes against his Bend Don't Break (Play It Safe) philosophy that screwed us in 13 seconds last season and came up short repeatedly throughout the season. He needs someone to challenge him, not be his clone. Then Beane and McD need to come to terms that while they have a good professional culture established now, it may be time to let it get a bit nasty. I respect that they seek out players that are pillars of the community and stay away from malcontents, but if they keep coming up short enough and everyone will become a malcontent (see Diggs, Stefan). Bring in a few players that might not be choir boys but play like their hair is on fire. When the Bills got bullied, like this past Sunday, they shriveled up. Then they focus on the oline. Have a come to Jesus meeting with Dawkins, letting him know he may talk the talk but he didn't walk the walk this year. Advise Morse to retire to save his brain. Let Brown know he's 2nd string unless he shows drastic improvement between now and at some point during the pre-season. Get some bruising blockers up in there.

Just my 2 cents. Go Bills.
