I felt certain he shouldn't have left Klein in any longer and gone with Yamamoto. I was wrong, it worked.

He would've taken a ton of heat had that not worked out. And so it goes.

Just saw the replay, that was not as bad as what was described, the batter even stopped when he said strike

He said strike right away.... Shrug

Yeah it was a little high but it was called a strike immediately. That’s 100% on the Jays for not paying attention.

It's on Varsho for throwing the bat aside after it was called a strike.

It's on the ump for calling it a strike when the pitch before was lower and he called that a ball.

And for I'm rooting for Toronto.. well neither really but if the 2 , Toronto

And he tried to walk him three times as the batter swung at three balls to save him. The last of which was the worst and should have been an easy take. But I know once in swing mode and the gravity of the situation you don't want to be caught looking either.

Had the same thought. Though with bases loaded and a full count, I think he should have erred on the side of taking a close pitch given that a ball=RBI. Easy to Tuesday morning QB that one though.

The game kind of stalled out in the 11th or 12th. You didn't miss much after that until the HR.

I went to bed after the 9th while my 16 year old decided to keep watching (he's a Blue Jays fan). I fell asleep for a couple hours and woke up when the dog needed to go outside. Couldn't believe the kid was still up, and really couldn't believe it was the 18th inning. So I decided to stay up just to watch his spirits get crushed.

On Ohtanis's first AB, he called a ball a strike, next pitch made up for it by calling a strike a ball. At least the announcers called it out.

Eric Gregg was more consistent. RIP.

I've only been to one World Series game, game 7 in 1997 when the Marlins beat the Indians in the 11th inning on a 2 out single by Edgar Renteria. My friend had tickets through business.i hardly watch ️ any more.
