I screwed up and clipped his score when deleting the icons.

After Tour de Romandie concludes on Sunday, we finally catch a bit of a lull with no race days Monday-Thursday of next week.

Superclasico Fantasy Sixes 2025 resumes in 8 days with a Saturday-Sunday-Tuesday cluster of 1-day races:
Stage Race Championship 2025 contest has a short break until Round 6, the first of the three grand tours:
  • Round 6
    2025-05-09 13:30:00:00
    (CEST)
    Giro d'Italia
(reminder that the whole of central & western Europe, including Italy, is 6 hours ahead of US; only Portugal is Western European Summer Time + same same for UK/British Summer Time)

@BassNBrew @cheeseypoof @DA RAIDERS @Jaysus @Nick Vermeil @Sand

Man, I dislike the main announcer on this Tour of Romandie. His cadence is weird, and he tries to make things sound too exciting. You can't convince me that all 3 hours of this are frantically exciting, and that some guy dropping back to the middle of the peloton with 40 km to go means he's not going to compete today.

Bobke would like a word.

@cheeseypoof wins the Stage 5 ITT + End-of-Tour points, but @Jaysus had built up too much of a lead.

Pretty happy to get a podium considering I finished last in the Prologue + ITT and nex-to-last in Stage 1.

Most importantly, everybody gets four days off from the grind.

Losing champ hurt. And my other mid tier guys didn’t do much Jorgen was a nice pick. And no assist points for TT or prologue 😂

The UAE team for the Giro is ridiculous... even with out Pog and Almedia:

  • Igor Arrieta (Spa)
  • Juan Ayuso (Spa)
  • Filippo Baroncini (Ita)
  • Isaac del Toro (Mex)
  • Rafał Majka (Pol)
  • Brandon McNulty (USA)
  • Jay Vine (Aus)
  • Adam Yates (GB)

yeah they are ridiculously deep - one of the earlier races the lowest cost rider in the contest was 12 points lol

I've got zero of these guys on my team right now. Probably not a winning strategy.

Giro d’ Italia entries are now open

begins Friday May 9th
@Sand

I was very impressed with my first pass. This team is unbeatable I smugly thought.

It was then I realized my 100 point team only had 8 riders.

not unless one of my kids teaches me

I'm semi-retired and have little interest in learning ChatGPT, Grok or DeepSeek

I'm a bit of a romantic and would never want a machine / program making picks for me even if they were more effective

I know it's just a tool but I enjoy hanging onto the being human part of humanity

I kind of enjoy messing around with it. It hasn't evolved to the point that it understands the parameters most of the time.

What's sad is that I now know who the 6 credit riders are.
I thought there were some really good riders in there :oldunsure:
