In this thread we DO care about your league... but only if you won it. Come on in and gloat.

Clinched a championship tonight, and was only 6 points from a perfect season! I got revenge on the guy who beat me during the regular season in the finals though :lmao:

What's your story?

 :pirate: :kicksrock:

:shark:

I'm the smiley...rest of my league the Shark.

Thanks Plax for killing my opponent. Best part is I traded plax to guy while his value was sky high.

Congrats to all the other Champs. Merry Christmas.

By three-tenths of a point!!! :goodposting: Didnt clinch until late in the 4th Q of the SNF game - 7 yd screen pass to Peterson put me over the top.

(still have Elam to go but at least I don't need him to pull out the win)

My opponent still has Gates to go tomorrow but I am up by 54 pts.

Jacobs & Wayne & Urlacher carried my team.

Put the smack down (110-75) on Brady/Moss tonight, and I still have Gates! :P

If you were to tell me that Fred Taylor (and Kenny Watson, Reggie Williams which I picked up Sunday morning because I had driver in the windy city and Edge) would win me the bowl I would say B.S.

Finally someone took down the team with Brady, Moss, Jennings, Sjax, H Miller and the tampa D

I scored a record 137 and He scored a record low for the year.

But I must thank the FBG for all there hard work because without there help I would not have won with out a ton more work on my part.

You have me for life thanks again to the FBG :P :lmao:

What a great early Christmas present!

This is the second year in a row I entered the playoffs as the "favorite" to win it all and being the total points leader. Last year I was one and done thanks to Brees 5td game. This year I won it all going away with Portis stepping it up and still having LT tomorrow. I made a good move this morning by sitting Favre and plugging in McNabb after reading about the whether in the Shark Pool this morning.

My draft this year was the key with players like LT, T.O., Portis, Jennings, Witten, and A Johnson. This is the first year I used Draft Dominator.

I was also very fortunate to have not been bitten by the injury bug.

I made a good trade when Johnson got healthy again by trading Jennings for Favre (the other guy had Brady and no Wrs) so it helped us both.

I definately consider FBGs my most valuable FFB tool.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!

I'm up by 70 right now. I've got LT and Elam...he's got SD DEF. I hope I can pull this one out.

I'll have to retract my venting post. My opponent had ADP and Minnesota Def in a PPR league and I only had a 14 point lead. They combined for 8 points and I got my first championship after 4 years of playoff heartbreak.

Up 24 with LT vs Graham and Kaeding. Not calling it yet, but the champagne is on ice for not just a win, but a successful deense of last year's 1st place finish.

Congrats...feels good ,don't it?

My opponent has the Chargers D and Kicker but needs 50 fantasy points to beat me. Denver is soft but they arent that soft. I'm calling it. And to think I did it with Willie Parker and Brett Farve on my active team.

I overcame having LJ and Harrison as my projected RB1/WR1, squaring off against Brady(-1pts) last week with Hasselbeck(11pts) instead of Warner(20pts), aaand starting Gore(16pts, 15pts) over Portis(21pts, 21pts) the past two weeks to become the first back-to-back champion in the BFL (see sig)!

QB: Warner, Hassebeck, Kitna

RB: Westbrook, Gore, Portis

WR: Edwards, Fitzgerald, Galloway, Harrison

TE: Winslow

K: Gostkowski, Graham

D: Giants, Eagles

Went into the playoffs as the favorite in 2 out of my 3 leagues. Lost in the first round in my dynasty league (2nd in points for the season and hottest team coming into the playoffs), lost in the finals in my work league (won the regular season by 300 points behind Romo, Addai, LDT, Moss, Jennings, Witten) - no griping here though because the league I did win was the big one.

In my friends league, I snuck in as the 5 seed despite having the least number of points and a 40-104 breakdown record thanks to fantastic timing and great tiebreaker performance (1 win against a playoff team, 6 against everyone else). Watched ADP do nothing tonight, clinching the victory - I have a 5.5 point lead with Henry/Gates to go tomorrow night.

Starting lineup:

Peyton Manning

Fred Taylor

Travis Henry

Andre Johnson

Calvin Johnson

Antonio Gates

Matt Bryant

Lofa Tatupu

Greg White

Cortland Finnegan

Reserves:

Jesse Chatman

Sam Gado

Fred Jackson

Marvin Harrison

David Patten

Adam Bergen (honorary)

Ray Lewis

Michael Strahan

Antoine Winfield

Won 2 points titles out of the 5 leagues I played in. Didn't win the playoffs though, just 2 third place finishes, and one of the leagues I won a points title in, I didn't even make the playoffs. Got squeezed out by Marques Colston in the Monday night game vs. Atlanta a couple weeks back.

willis, gore and braylon got me 13 points clear + LT and Scheffler to go against the reg. season winner, his team is finished

season worked out quite well, went 7-0 and started to trade for play-off matchups - it probably cost me the regular season win but i got the highest league score in both of the play-off rounds

It's not official yet but I've got my first league championship in the bag. I'm down by 7.2 and still have LT, Gates, and Chambers going tonight  . Opponent is done. I think I can pull it off.

Woohoo, that's about $700 for me :D :P :excited: :headbang:  :own3d: :moneybag: :moneybag:

Don't count your championships till they're won.... Stranger things have happened, especially with LT and Gates being slightly dinged up, and Chris Chambers being Chris Chambers.

Second year of a dynasty league, and we (partnered team) took out the guy that beat beat us in the finals last year. Revenge is soooo sweeeet! We are up by 35, have LT and Marshall to play, he has Dumervil (big sack scoring system) going tonight. He already conceeded, but.... I have seen DE's in this league score 50 points with 4 or 5 sack games. I hate to declare until it's official... but:

Game balls go to:

A Schobel

L Boden

L Maroney

J DiGiorgio

All 4 scored 20+ points.

What is amazing is that we lost Hackett, Marvin, M Peterson, Alex Smith (backup) and D Ryans missed the supe with an injury but still outscored this team by 5 points in the regular season.

Merry Christmas! :goodposting:

Mine isn't done yet, but I'm up by 35 pts and my opponent has Tony Scheffler and I have Brandon Marshall tonight. Check out my Championship lineup:

Kurt Warner

K. Watson, R. Grant (Addai sat on my bench)

Owens, Marshall, Anthony Gonzalez

K Winslow

Josh Brown

Jags D/St

only two players I drafted (Owens and Winslow). I was the #1 Seed, had the best record, and blew away the most points scored. If Marshall scores big tonight I might even break the record for most points scored for a season in my league history (6 years). :excited:

How sweet it is. 8 years in this league, I've finished 2nd twice and third three times, but never tasted the title. This year I was on a mission. First I won the regular season title (another first for me) and then finished with the best record in the history of the league (14-2), and become just the second owner to win the Triple Crown (regular season title, postseason title, most points).

It's a keep 3 and I kept Manning, Tomlinson and Caddy and had one hell of a draft. The winning starting lineup:

Manning (Championship Game MVP)

Tomlinson

Lynch

Stecker (playoff MVP was a week 13 waiver wire gem)

K. Jones

Wayne

Witten

Kirk Morrison

Patrick Willis (another postseason hero)

Justin Durant (championship game filler)

Shayne Graham

Beat the team that had won two titles and beat me a year ago. I set a record for points in the title game (and I still have LT to go) and biggest margin of victory in the title game.

Now I know how Tony Dungy felt last year.

This is my second year in a row winning this local cash league with friends. I drafted pretty well (auction) but when I had a question or two FBG came though with sound advice. Here is the winning roster. I made no trades and this is a 3 man keeper league.

QB - Roethlisberger

RB - Westbrook

RB - ADP

RB - MBIII

WR - TO

WR - Houzmanzadeh

TE - Tony G

K - Mason Crosby

DL- Jared Allen

LB - Tatupu

LB - Witherspoon

DB - Sammy Knight

Bench

Kitna, B. Jacobs, L. Evans, Pittman, M. Turner, AJ Hawk

Going to win my 5th straight Super Bowl tonight. Im up by 70. Its a keeper league, keep six each year. Here's my roster this year.....

Manning (k), McNabb (k), Garrard

C Taylor, M Morris, E James, Betts, Buckhalter (LJ (k), A Green on IR)

R Moss (k), Edwards, Fitzgerald (k), Mason, Driver, Porter

Winslow, Lee

Folk, Gostkowski

Pitt D, Sea D

My run started 5 years ago with a blockbuster trade.....gave up Plummer, Chad Johnson, and Fred Taylor to get Manning and S Alexander...rode them for years!

Tough to keep repeating from the 9th or 10th draft position every year! When LJ and SA went down/sucked this year, I thought I was done. Winslow and Edwards were key draft picks this year.

Oh yeah, and luck helps!

Merry Christmas all....

won my 14 team league this week

Big Ben

C Johnson

W Welker

M Colston

F Gore

D Walker(picked up a couple weeks ago)

Gonzo

Crosby

Tenn D

highest scoring team in league but only went 8-5

brees, AJ, SJax, Gonzalez, Folk and Pats D

beat

Romo, F. Taylor, Stecker and Baltimore D

the rest of the players were non-contributors...was a damn close game

all this in the year i traded away tom brady when i was in last place week 5...

CHA-CHING $$$ I have not won in a few years, so it feels good. It's a dynasty league too and this team should be strong for quite some time (in sig).

Won my league from the 4 seed. Was 2nd in total points for the year, but didn't win my division. The three teams I beat in the playoffs, I was actually 1-4 against in the reg season (two of them were in my division). I made the playoffs as the top wildcard seed, which we base on total points.

QB - Brees (3.07)

RB - Westbrook (1.07)

RB - Fred Taylor (6.06)

WR - Steve Smith (2.06)

WR - Housh (4.06)

WR - Winslow Jr (9.07)

K - Gostkowski (FA)

D/ST - Titans (FA)

Uh oh. BEtter enjoy your first once and hope numerology doesn't set you up for four 4th place finishes.

Just need 13 tonight from Brandon Marshall. HP scoring. I feel really good about it.

Roster is a dynasty league 12 teamer (I had a very strong draft) and was the total points leader by a pretty wide margin. With a win tonight I would finish the season at 13-2

QB - Romo

RB - Westbrook

RB - Adrian (All Day) Peterson

RB - Marion (The Barbarian) Barber

WR - Housh

WR - Colston

WR - Marshall

TE - Cooley

K - Reed

DEF - Green Bay

Bench

QB Big Ben

RB - Julius Jones

RB - Buckhalter

RB - Tony Hunt

RB - Chris Brown

RB - Leon Washington

WR Arnaz Battle

WR - James Jones

WR - Jacoby Jones

WR - Berrian

TE - Shockey

Hi, I risk blowing my cover by posting, since some of the other owners use FB Guys too, but I can't resist. I've been in the league for ~10 years, and have won the regular season a few times, have finished second and third a few times, but could never win the championship. This year, I was in the tank with Andre and Branch, Gore sucking, and getting hall-of-fame QB performances against me almost every week. I was in a weak division, and the guy in first needed to win one game or have me lose once in the last month, but I found a way to win the division, and won three in a row in the playoffs to win a very unpredictable title. I'll take it. Game balls go out to:

Grant, for his big TD

Portis, for having that obnoxious commercial on NFL network Saturday night that made me start him despite the matchup!

Maroney, for being on the damn bench and not mattering yesterday

Giants D, for being on the bench...

Andre Johnson, for being a horse every week when healthy

Jon Gruden, for pulling Graham against me

Mother Nature, for forcing my opponent to start Sage instead of Favre

And above all else, the biggest game ball to Darren Sharper, for preventing Berrian from burying me last week on the last play of the game.

FFL...25% skill, 75% luck, and when the luck goes your way, it's great...

My sister also won her league for the first time ever, with a completely different roster than mine.

Good luck to all of you who need guys to step up (or not) tonight!

Matt

I might have to retire on top after this year. Played in 4 leagues and won 3 of them. And to top it off it looks like I finished #6 in the FBG contest. Can only go down from here.

It is final now, and I won both leagues I was in.

In one league, I beat the Romo owner week 13, the Brady owner week 15 (bye 14), and I just beat the LT/Addai/Moss/T.O. Owner in the Championship with this starting lineup:

QB: Warner

RB: Ryan Grant

WR: K. Curtis

WR: D. Patten

Flex (WR or RB): P. Crayton

TE: Dallas Clark

K: Elam

DST: TB

Just unreal ..

In my other league, the NY Giants DST pretty much won it for me

Ni !!!!

we tied 74 to 74. the first tiebreaker is decimal scoring. with this I win 81.3 to 79. 25 :lmao: :goodposting: :) . but this guy has Curtis and will protest the win because HE thinks he should get credit for the fumbled recovery TD. but our rules clearly states we only give 6 PTs for passing, rushing and rec TDs.

First title for me (7 yrs playing 4 seconds)

12 team leauge

Brees

Colston

Plaxo

Sjax(also had LJ but we know what happend to him)

J.Lewis (was playing Portis for a wile)

scheffler

and played match=ups with K and D

got lucky to win this week but i was due for some luck in the title game

YESSSSSSSSSSSS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Won my first-ever championship thanks to Jacobs (thanks FBG!) and Steve Smith. $500 and a t-shirt :goodposting:

My keepers for next year are Brady and ADP :)

My wife, who has the luck of the world, took over a team 6 years ago from a player who bailed mid-season in my league that has been around 17 years. She won the league her 2 AND the 3rd year. The 2nd year was fine in that I finished 2nd to her and we got the 1st and 2nd place money. She had down years 4 and 5, but this year she went in the playoffs as the 6th seed and I went in as the 2nd seed with a first round bye.

She beat the 3rd seed--week one of the playoffs. She beat the 1st seed this week. I won as well--so again I play her for the title this coming up week with us being guaranteed the 1st and 2nd place pot again.

This is a tough league too. The 1st seed of our league was 12-2, but the rest of us were 8-6 or 7-7 and it came down to .5 of a point as the tie breaker between the 5th and 6th seeds.

Oh well, I guess if I lose this weekend, I can live with it since we are getting 1st and 2nd place money again.

Second year playing, last year took 2nd place, this year won it all.

I won by 6 pts. My opponent had LT left. I expected to lose, but Norv decided to sit LT down in the 3rd quarter. What luck for me!

I am grateful to this website for Brandon Jacobs and Ryan Grant. Also for convincing me this week not to sit Peyton Manning. These things won me the title.

I play in two dynasty leagues.

One league I snuck into the playoffs with a 5-8 record and won the championship 122-66. This league is a conventional scoring league 6 points per TD and 1 point per 10 yards rushing or receiving and 1 point per 25 yards passing.

In my second league, the scoring is not conventional by any means. Its based on TDs, with length of TD increasing the value and other crazy scoring rules. I made the playoffs with a 6-7 record and was sweating it out tonight, being up by 14 with my opponent having Gates, SD defense, and Elam but got lucky and won 74-70. Thanks to the fantasy gods for Norv pulling Gates out of the game early and SD defense for shutting down the Broncos O. This is my 4th title in 8 years in the league.

It can't get any better than this. I have a feeling the Fantasy Gods will not be so kind to me next year.
