Week 17 2024 who should I start thread **OFFICIALLY OFFICIAL** CHAMPIONSHIP EDITION! (2 Viewers)

PPR Flex - pick one
Guerendo v Detroit (questionable, plays Monday)
Thielen at TB
Ford v Miami

Leaning Ford but didn’t expect to be in the situation on championship weekend.
In full PPR I probably go with Thielen, particularly now that Hubbard is out.

You could talk me I to Ford with the news about TIA being doubtful but I'm still probably going with Thielen.

Now that Flacco is starting is Downs a better option than Kupp?
Maybe. My only concern is how quickly that game gets out of hand. You can't predict game script but the Giants have been awful and look to have checked out. Not sure if the Colts have a path to the playoffs after the Chargers win but I still think they're playing hard regardless.

Bottom line is...maybe?

I personally probably stick with Kupp because of his track record and the importance of this game to the Rams.
Thanks Chaka. I wasn't considering the high likelihood that the Colts will have a big lead early and and it will be a Taylor day.

Joshua Downs

or

Jayden Reed

PPR league. 2 pt bonus for TDs over 40 yards. 2 pt bonus for 100 receiving yards.
Tough call. They both have that big upside/downside gap. I think Reed has the better matchup. The Vikings pass D gives up lots of yards and the Giants don't (because teams just run, run, run against them) and their offense can put points on the board. They are a great scoring defense+3rd) and the Giants aren't (25th).

I think I risk it with Reed but, you may want to look at Downs's averages with Flacco, which I did not, before finalizing your decision.

Standard scoring no ppr. Thanks to awful performances so far this week, I’m a 30pt underdog. I have 6 players left he has 8. I have Burrow, he has Jamar. So their TD production offsets (6pt TD pass) with him advantage in yards points. Obviously, I need to catch up. Should I start Bryce Young against TB and hope Denver D has a good game vs Cincy? I know Burrow is on fire. Hopefully Certain and crew can shut down Jamar and Bryce can light up Tb again. He did already this year. Or just keep burrow in and hope he throws to Higgins, Gesicki, and Iocivas? Am I nuts? Lol
No, start Burrow. He has other weapons to throw to.
100% this.

Hope for a Higgins signature three TD day.
I seldom do callbacks but... your welcome.

Thank you.
I hated you guys in the first quarter. I LOVE you guys. ❤️❤️. Genius!!! Lolo. Thank you.

.5 PPR - Need one flex and currently have the Cheetah plugged in but monitoring his health.

  • Hill @ CLE (solid matchup but he hasnt been his usual self)
  • Dowdle vs PHI (brutal matchup and no Lamb to keep the defense honest)
  • Doubs @ MIN (Assuming Watson is out but one of the worst against the pass)
I want to go with Hill, but pay close attention to the weather.

Doubs has a great matchup. Like all GB WRs he has a very low floor but the matchup is strong and so is the Packers offense in general.

ATM I lean Doubs.
I'm not a fan of Hill with no Tua.

A hat trick calls for it…

standard league (no PPR)

Brian Robinson (WAS) vs. Atlanta
or
Breece Hall (NYJ) vs. Buffalo

and

Josh Allen (BUF) vs. NY Jets
or
Brock Purdy (SF) vs. Detroit

I think I need the safer options given the Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday games.
And I'm concerned that the Bills could sit Allen for a half.
Thanks!

Picked up watson just in case he plays. ESPN downgraded Hill's projection to lower than Doubs and Watson given Tua being out. Assume Hill is a non-starter at this point.

how do you like Wicks if Watson is out?

I agree. No Tua, no Hill IMO.

Impossible to guess which GB WRs, or TEs, will benefit. If I had to guess... IDK... Probably Doubs>Reed>Wicks>Kraft

But it could easily be the reverse.

Didn’t see the wet conditions before in Tampa, do we expect that to hurt Baker or Bryce?
I just put Bryce in over Purdy, partly just because I want to cheer for Bryce and the 49ers are hurting.
Ultimately, Bryce @ Tampa or Brock vs Detroit, in a close match?

Wind doesn't look to be an issue. As long as it's not a driving rain, it should be ok. I'm playing Bryce over Purdy also.

PPR
Need 1 TE
Jonnu Smith at Cleveland (Tua out)
Sam Laporta at San Francisco

I am decent favorite right now and have Gibbs on Monday night

Like others, not sure about Tampa weather so its a pick your poison at QB:

Baker vs Panthers - 20 MPH winds/ potential rain/ game script can flip to TB run
Goff @ SF - SF D vs pass very strong/ revenge game for Lions/ potential shoot out/ do have St Brown for stack

Have a great NY

PPR need one:

Wicks vs MIN (Watson Out) Leaning this way. Just feel like alot of passing in this one
Coker vs TB
Scantling vs LV
Cooks vs Eagles
Zachaeus vs Atl (Weather could be issue)
Nick Westbrook Ikhine vs Jax
Waddle vs Clev (Probably not playing Tua out)

Thanks

.5 prr. I'm now down thanks to a slow start and injuries (Lamb, Kamara, Montgomery).

Blackshear or Jonnu Smith

I have the same choice and I'm going with Goff without much thought. His ceiling is higher.

standard (no PPR)

Tyjae Spears vs. Jax
Brian Robinson vs. Atl
Breece Hall vs. Buf

Jameson Williams vs. SF
Garrett Wilson vs. Buf
Tyreek Hill vs. Cle

Thanks!

Baker Mayfield at home vs Panthers in wet conditions

Or

Jordan Love @ Vikings in a dome
I think you're good with either. I lean towards Baker just because he's been more productive on the whole but there is a certain logic to starting Love against a pass funnel Vikings defense. The main problem is the Vikings are the #3 scoring defense in the league and the Panthers are #32.

Baker by a small margin for me.

Going back and forth on this one, Philadelphia Def (v. Dallas) or Indianapolis Def (v. NY Giants)?

Thanks!
You're great with either. I lean towards Philly because 1) they're the better IRL defense and 2) I think they're angry after last week.

Bryce has just been a lot more consistent over the last month or so.

Goff for me. He's just been a monster lately.

Tyreek Hill or Isaac Guerendo

PPR, also half point per rush.

I hate both matchups. Also have zero confidence in how Guerendo is used on Monday night coming off injuries.

Still no clue.

I probably go Wicks at this point. Possibly pivot to Coker but prefer the Packers offense and Minny is a pass funnel defense.
