***OFFICIAL Detroit Lions bandwagon*** (1 Viewer)

:thumbup:2 down, 14 to go! Perfection, thy name is Marinelli!
:excited: :excited: :excited: In all seriousness...Kitna is the Lion with the biggest heart i've ever seen. I officially love that man. What a finish! (note the only TO that was his fault was the fumble when he stumbled on the roll out....)I'm most impressed with the D....they are playing their asses off. And DeWayne White is the real deal. That dude is a playmaker plain and simple.

not really a Lions fan, but I am a Martz fan, and Kitna is a tough sonofagun . . . I was glad for Detroit when they finally pulled it out . . . they've been bad for so long, they deserve some football joy . . .

Kitna has some serious Brett Fa-vre in him. :goodposting:Saw it last week when he was joking around with the defense after being tackled, saw it this week when he threw his body all over the field.

I was kind of disappointed in this showing. Obviously if Kitna plays the whole game the Lions roll, but there's really no reason we shouldn't be dominating all the same with O'Sullivan in there.

Next two weeks are statement games. Eagles and Bears find out the hard way who rules the NFC.

and the Int in the end zone on the opening drive wasn't?

The main reason this is happening is because they have weeded out the cancer cells in the locker room. Dre "we lost but it wasn't because of me" Bly is gone and has been replaced with young, hardworking guys who buy into Marinelli's plan of accountabilty to the TEAM above the SELF.

I received 4 calls from the Detroit area after the Lions won last night. Haven't heard them this excited since the early 90s.

Because they beat the Vikings?Take what you can get, I guess.
Because they are 2-0 I guess. Thing that pissed me off was that not one mentioned the Tigers. I hope the Lions do well and all for them, but I'm not a Lions fan.

It will take a sweep of Cleveland for the Tigers to have a real chance. The way the Yankees are playing, the Tigers might have less of a chance catching them then the Indians. Tigers must win 10 of 12. Possible, but a bit of a long shot.

I'm on board. I love them all, Megatron, Williams, and especially Fathead Kitna. If this guy isn't the feel-good story of the year, I'll eat my shoe. The Saints of 2007!

Awesome thread...

No doubt the tongue in cheek nature will get past or go over some but, hey, can't help that. Us Lions fans have suffered a LONG time and the season is or might be young but I am digging being 2-0 and finally getting over on the Vikes.

In all seriousness Kitna's performance was awesome...serious gut check. No team in the NFL needed a win like that more than the Lions.

I am so glad Millen did the right thing; held the pick and took Johnson.

Brilliant coaching move by Marinelli yesterday to throw the game and allow this team to continue flying under the radar. The last thing we needed was the distractions of those '72 Dolphins and their stupid champagne. Now we can just sail to 15-1, and begin the dynasty!

Also think he held back because Philly will probably be an NFC playoff team. No need to show them anything.Pretty obvious the Lions felt no need to win this game.

This was an obvious ratings ploy. Who would want to watch the Supberbowl when the Lions show up at 18-0?

Everybody'd be having Desperate Houswives parties instead. I agree this was a smart move.

Great point. No sense in unloading the playbook this early in the season and putting anything of value on game tape. Save it, Coach.

Well, the defense and special teams did add 2 TD's to inflate the scoring.

Brian Griese was backing up Grossman for a reason..........he's not as good. I know Rex wasn't playing well but what Griese did today was a total joke.

None of my friends believed me...I predicted a 3-1 start for the Roar and just cleaned up today.

Very nice to see K. Jones getting back to health. VERY GLAD someone sat Bell's tail oif/when it got down to crunch time.

Hey, what the (blank) was up with Orton's neck beard and mullet?

Bring on the Skins

It's stupid how close the Lions were to scoring 40 today.
I busted out that line when the Lions had 3 points after 3 quarters. My friend thought it was a Roy Williams joke, but I was serious.

It's pretty obvious the Lions were just toying with the Bears for 3 quarters. Then the just flipped the switch and rubbed their noses in it. :(

Talk about the glory that is the 2007 Detroit Lions here. Realism not welcome here.Jon Kitna is the man and we have four great WRs. 289 yards against the BEST pass defense in the NFL.Tatum Bell is the answer at RB. He's motivated this year, as evidenced by his taunting of the Black Hole. No ploys needed.Offensive line problems are solved.DeWayne White and Travis Fisher looking like HUGE pickups. The defense is fine now.Raiders were only in this game due to some first game jitters by Kitna and Roy on the INTs. It was clear who the better team is.Kitna's 10-win projection looking modest right now IMO.
I'm aboard now, looks like a fun season for the Lions. Finally. :lmao: at everyone still not willing to give Detroit their due after today's win.Let's see KJ get back into playing shape, then it will really get interesting.
