Official Donald Trump for President thread (3 Viewers)

Not open for further replies.
There's a thread on a popular fitness board asking if the Donald could do anything to change the  minds of those voting for him.  The answers were a resounding no.  The hate for Hillary is so strong it's difficult for me to rationalize it.  She better get educated women and young folks out to vote or she's ####ed.
I'm shocked that a bunch of steroid fueled meat heads would be mostly pro-Trump.

Do Trump supporters even know that the guy who wrote "The Art of the Deal" and spent 18 months following him around calls him a sociopath?

I know I know, they're squarely in his demo.  It's just astounding though the passion they feel for the dude.  Illegal immigrants and globalism seem to be their two biggest issues (although I guess you could call them the same issue).

Top Climate Skeptic to Lead Trump's EPA Transition Team

Donald Trump is tapping a high-profile climate change skeptic to lead administration transition efforts for the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).

Myron Ebell, director of energy and environment policy at the conservative think tank Competitive Enterprise Institute, is heading Trump’s EPA transition preparation, E&E Daily reported Monday.

Ebell is an outspoken, longtime skeptic of the scientific consensus that human activity is dramatically changing the climate. He often refers to warnings about global warming as climate “alarmism” and is a vocal critic of President Obama’s climate change regulations.

Ebell has argued that the Clean Power Plan is illegal and that the Paris climate change agreement is unconstitutional.

Trump also doubts that human activity causes climate change.

Trump supporters have been informed, scolded, pleaded with, cajoled, begged, threatened, debated, promised, scared, bribed, reminded, slapped, thumped, complimented, insulted, pushed, pulled, entreated, defeated, exhorted, flummoxed, angered, enervated, contorted, diverted, perverted, inverted and alerted.

You zig, they will zag. Doesn't matter.

Friendly reminder that 90% of your posts aren't even your own thoughts.
Actually it is only about 20% and since they are stating a viewpoint or opinion I agree with, they are an expression of my own thoughts.

In any event, they have engendered more debate and discussion of topics than any of the multiple laughing emoticons.

Yup. Trump supporters should be ignored at this point.  They are pot-committed and will defend or deflect almost anything. I guarantee you none of them have even read that story about him pulling health benefits for his nephew's infant son stricken with cerebral palsy.

The focus should be on uncommitted or third party voters and on turnout. That's the way to beat this monster.

Found footage of him.

I think it's important to laugh at this buffoon and those who have enabled him, because for the next four years it may be all we have to keep us sane.  With that in mind:

We have officially reached Idiocracy:

“Studying, preparing, going through hypotheticals and what scenarios might come up, but he's very comfortable,” the RNC chair replied. “He did a great job in our primary debates. He's also been through, what, 14 seasons, season finales. He will be prepared. He's always showed up for the big dance, and he will be prepared and he'll be ready to go tonight.”

The big challenge is getting those 20 year old former Bernie supporters off of Gary Johnson.  They haven't been alive long enough to learn that sometimes you have to set aside idealism and look at the big picture.

Or to understand that Bernie and Gary Johnson are at opposite ends of the political spectrum on pretty much every issue other than legalized weed and abortions.

Hey, I get it, we all like getting high and screwing bareback.  But Clinton's fairly decent on the weed issue (she's certainly no Cruz or Christie, two potential Trump SC or AG appointments) and she's as good on abortion as anyone.  Plus unlike Johnson she actually agrees with Sanders on most other issues too.

I believe the more information people get, the more they will dislike Trump.  When we have Republican leaders coming out in support of Hillary you know there's something seriously wrong with Trump. People simply need to spend the time getting to know Trump to understand.
I disagree with this.  Almost everything that Trump has said or done has been spotlight prime-time click-bait news during this election cycle.  If Trump has said or done something wrong, the general public has seen it or heard about it in fine detail.  Most of the general public doesn't know even a small percentage of the shady stuff that Clinton has done.  Once the spotlight is put on those things, there's going to be a lot of "She did WHAT?" from the low-information crowd.  Good grief, she's directly responsible for the murder of American citizens in Benghazi.  Given her actions (or lack thereof) she may as well have pulled the trigger herself.  Trump may say some dumb things or do somebody wrong in an investment deal, but dangit the guy stops short of freaking murder.  As far as I know, Trump hasn't been responsible for any murders.  Can't say the same for Hillary.  And while I'm sure the guys on this board get why the whole email / private server thing was a big deal but the low-information cats don't.  She is far shadier than Trump could ever dream of being.

What percentage of people do you think know that he passed off donations to the Palm Beach Police Association and the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society as his own even though they came from a foundation he hasn't contributed to in many many years, then accepted awards from those organizations, and that those organizations then paid Trump to hold their events at his Mar-A-Lago property?

I bet it's less than 10%.  And I bet if everyone know about it he'd take a decent size hit in the polls. This is scamming law enforcement and cancer charities for personal glory and benefit, people tend not to look too kindly on that. And unlike your BENGHAZI!!! hot take it's actually true.

Donald Trump's Cruel Streak

http://www.theatlantic.com/politics/archive/2016/09/donald-trumps-cruel-streak/501554/

"In 1999, the family patriarch died, and 650 people, including many real estate executives and politicians, crowded his funeral at Marble Collegiate Church on Fifth Avenue. But the drama was hardly put to rest. Freddy’s son, Fred III, spoke at the funeral, and that night, his wife went into labor with their son, who developed seizures that led to cerebral palsy. The Trump family promised that it would take care of the medical bills.

Then came the unveiling of Fred Sr.’s will, which Donald had helped draft. It divided the bulk of the inheritance, at least $20 million, among his children and their descendants, “other than my son Fred C. Trump Jr.” Freddy’s children sued, claiming that an earlier version of the will had entitled them to their father’s share of the estate, but that Donald and his siblings had used “undue influence” over their grandfather, who had dementia, to cut them out. A week later, Mr. Trump retaliated by withdrawing the medical benefits critical to his nephew’s infant child."

Hey, you gotta get tough, folks. Very, very tough.

Here's what Donald said about his brother when he died “the best guy. He just had everything.

A week later, Mr. Trump retaliated by withdrawing the medical benefits critical to his nephew’s infant child.

“I was angry because they sued,” he explained during last week’s interview.

At the time, he attributed their exclusion from the will to his father’s “tremendous dislike” for Freddy’s ex-wife, Linda. She and Fred III declined to comment on the dispute.

Mr. Trump said that the litigation had been settled “very amicably” and that he was fond of Fred III, who works in real estate, though not for the Trump organization.

This was on ABC, NBC, and CBS nightly news.  Also saw it get 5 minutes of coverage on the Today Show.  Those are 4 "news" dispensers that low-information types suck up like candy.  They know about those, trust me.

But when it comes to Benghazi or Hillary's illegal server con, the general public hasn't been told what exactly happened / what Clinton's direct involvement was / and most importantly why those things are shady.  If you ask someone if they've heard about "Hillary and her email server", they'll likely say yes.  But if you ask them why it was wrong, or for any deeper details, they won't have them.  If they haven't been told that something is wrong and why, they think it's no big deal.  Anyone, and I mean ANYONE that doesn't think her illegal server (and the shenanigans surrounding the emails within) is a big deal once they know the facts either has a sub-human IQ or is just a shady MFer themselves.

I know you and your ilk are going to vote for whoever has the "D" next to their name.  But don't try to pass off Hillary as "more presidential".  She's as corrupt as they come, with plenty of evidence to suggest she'd sell this country out to the highest bidder if given the chance.  She'd make a horrible President and I don't know why you guys don't see that.

Democrats/Liberals/"Independents" vote for whoever has the D next to their name regardless of the candidate.  They refuse to recognize the warts of the Democrat.  How anyone can vote for Hillary knowing what's out there about her...it's just blind partisanship.

Direct involvement with Benghazi? Like, do you think she flew over secretly in the dead of night and joined the raid?  Or that she organized the attack?

So yeah, it's come down to "I'm going to vote for the candidate that isn't responsible for the murders of American citizens abroad"

When you're responsible for providing security that you don't provide, that's pretty direct.  Then there's the lying about the video to the victim's families.  Then there's the deletions of all emails in the four days surrounding the Benghazi attack.

It's wild that if Benghazi wouldn't have happened, we wouldn't know about the illegal email server.  "Hey Hill, turn over all email correspondence regarding Benghazi please.  What?  You deleted all the emails?  That's ok, I'm sure there's a backup since you used your state department email...."

But for you and the rest of the lemmings that simply vote straight ticket Democrat, it's just a case of "At this point what does it matter".  She's the perfect leader for your type.

Don't call me a lemming or tell me about "my type."  I don't go around talking about how a racist xenophobic misogynistic buffoonish fraud is perfect for "your type," because i don't know you. Just like you don't know me.  About the only thing I know about you is that you have no idea what "directly responsible" means. I could draw some other conclusions about your general level of intelligence based on that, but that wouldn't really be fair to you.

To that end, RIP Sean Smith, Glen Doherty, Tyrone Woods, and Ambassador Stevens.
Perhaps you could honor the memory of Ambassador Stevens by respecting his family's wishes that his death not be used for political ends, and particularly that Clinton not be blamed for it.

Did you lose someone close to you in the attack?  If so, my condolences.  If not, I'm wondering what makes you think you have the right to disobey the family of one of the deceased.

So much hostility.  People can draw their own conclusions about either one of us.  Sorry I dug so deep under your skin and got too close.  Sometimes I misjudge the toughness of people on the board.  That's not your fault, it's mine.  My mistake, I apologize.

You're passionate about the person you're going to vote for, wish I could say the same.  I will be casting a reluctant vote.

Saying Rest in Peace doesn't seem political.  RIP Jose Fernandez.  Nope, didn't seem political either.

You're trying too hard bro.

I was referring to the previous post where you attempted to politicize his death against their wishes, not the RIP one.

I appreciate your apologies for the trolling  I'm a little on edge these days, what with the Trump presidency looking like it might actually happen and all.
