Donald went out of his way to hammer Weiner for being a creeper.

Just another example of when the orange man is on the attack he is doing or has done whatever it is. It's uncanny.

FOX News this morning is on the verge of advocating for the repeal of the 19th Amendment. The women's rights movement is taken huge leaps backwards with how they are talking.

Trump just now, interviewed by a reporter: zero chance he is leaving the race. Indignant that the party is not behind him. He has never quit on anything in his life.

It's all there, even in the hostage video "apology".

"Real world" = rape-o code for "sexual assault, shmexual assault"?

In bringing up Bill, is the point it wasn't OK for him either? That is disqualifying himself. If he means, if it was OK for him, it is OK for me, that is similarly disqualifying.

So this is information from Ben Ginsburg:

1. It's legally impossible for Trump to be removed from the ticket unless he voluntarily decides to leave. The RNC can't do it at this point.

2. If Trump were to voluntarily quit, the RNC cannot simply hand the nomination to Mike Pence. Legally each state's electors would have to vote on who the replacement would be.

Total chaos if he quits.

He should see that quitting would make him look good now and he can claim he helped defeat Hillary.

It is not going to happen.  Early voting has already started. So this is just all bluster and posturing.
Yeah I agree.

What's going on is a bunch of politicians seeking political cover by calling on Trump to leave. That way they can avoid being blamed for what might be a blowout in November. And it positions them to try to take control of the GOP afterwards.

Trump is not quitting, and he wants to win very, very badly.

He has already laid out all the places to lay the blame - other than himself.

I don't know about that.  Was driving around this morning listening to talk radio and a lot of folks in that right wing bubble are calling for Donald's head.  Add to that the backing away of more establishment Repubs and doors and this sheet show will sink the RNC if they don't staunch the bleeding.  It's gonna happen.

It is hilarious.
It's hilarious that you don't think people remember what he's said when 75% or more of this very thread is nothing but people constantly discussing all the idiotic things he's said throughout his life.

If Trump quits now he will be a pariah, hated by nearly everyone including those who support him the most. The rest of his life will be a disgrace, and his "brand" will be destroyed forever (that may have already happened.)

I don't think he can quit.

Trump is beyond clown status.

Wallow in your terrible judgment republicans.
I can understand saying terrible judgment by Trump supporters, but what terrible judgment by republicans?  The two are not synonymous.

The Republican Party tried to sidetrack the Trump Train, and numerous past and present Republican elected officials have spoken out against Trump.  Despite that, numerous people who say that they don't identify as true Republicans because the Republican Party no longer represents them, voted for Trump in such large numbers in the primaries that Trump won the nomination fair and square.  The republicans' hands were tied by the electoral process.  Even despite Trump's fair win their was talk among the Republican Party of nominating another candidate at the Republican Convention, and their was considerable anti-Trump talk from Republicans after the convention.

I'm not sure how any of that equates to terrible judgment by the Republican Party or even Republicans on the whole.

Pence is not going to attend Wisconsin.

Speculation: could Pence resign from the campaign? That would be stunning news (and maybe his ticket to the nomination in 2020...)

the contrast in these two videos is amazing.

he looks and sounds comfortable and authentic talking about grabbing #####.

he looks and sounds awkward and phony apologizing for talking about grabbing #####.

it's painfully clear which one is the true trump

Screw all of those guys, McConnell, Pence, Christie, freak show Rudy, Ted Cruz and Ryan in particular.

I think that's already happened. His only shot at saving any of that now is to quit. If Hillary loses, a lot of this would be forgotten.

Exactly. If it were to happen (Trump drops out - don't hold your breath) it would likely be Pence as the candidate. RNC would exert major pressure on it's minions/electors to get in line and "do what's right for the party".

That would be the ultimate pandering BS move of all time, well perhaps besides accepting the VP spot from the loser. Pence already acts as if Donald doesn't exist - see the VP debate.

I think him cancelling this is because that stop is ruined by this tape, that is all they would be asked about.

I have a truly visceral reaction when i even see a Clinton campaign ad. Id vote for her a thousand times over before id cast a single vote for this ahole.

I I know it is fun to talk about and it makes  for a great political theater, but he is not dropping out.

The bottom line is the donors  and the GOPers  saying they're going to jump ship on him are just posturing  (Like Tim suggested above). They will all be back in if Trump has a good 2nd debate and gets a bounce in the polls.

They are the exact definition of "the way the wind is blowing" type people.

Any chance this hurts Trump's business enough where he loses incredible amounts of money?
Trump's business is varied.  It's been mentioned that his new Hotel at the Old Post Office in DC didn't have a great opening.  It would not surprise me at all if that fails and is bought for pennies on the dollar to become another Ritz Carlton or Four Seasons in DC.  I'm not sure it would hurt his golf course development business.

If his plan B (or his plan A for that matter) is to start his own cable news network, I'm not sure he needs broad support.  Just very ardent support from his market.  The market is already pretty stratified.

It is true that this story has taken all the oxygen out of the room.  Hillary's Wall Street tapes are getting no play (I found them to be uniformly uncontroversial, but I'm sure they usually would have received more play).  And Trump's comments about the Central Park Five (which I found at least equally offensive) went pretty much unremarked upon as well.

I think he'll be fine once he removes 'Trump' from his buildings.  His name no longer has value as a brand and he's going to lose a lot of money on licensing.

I can't believe he took it this far - I really believed his plan was to get the nomination 'stolen' from him by the convention.

You do understand Clinton has nowhere to go but down. She beat him in the first debate and if she comes in overconfident and smug in this debate,  that will cost her regardless of what Donald does .  You seem to forget this is an election of who America hates least for a vast majority of Americans.

Everyone keep saying Trump should pull out of the last debates,  but in my opinion people should've been asking Clinton to pull out because she frankly has it pretty well sewn up and can only hurt herself at this point.

The majority of Americans have an attention span of a fly.  This whole thing will blow over and people will move onto the next thing to be outraged over by Wedneday.

"Governor, how can you ignore the question?"

"Pff, is that a rhetorical question? Plenty of practice during the debate."

What Kind of Man Is Donald Trump?

In its final weeks, the contest between the first woman nominee and the Republican’s cartoonish machismo has fittingly devolved into a battle of the sexes.

You seem to be missing the fact that Trump is an utter moron incapable of stringing more than a few coherent words together. It's literally impossible for him to talk for more than a few seconds without making a complete fool of himself.
