No, it was not their country, Their country was the Confederate States of America. The United States government burned their cities, farms and home and killed hundreds of thousands of their people. 

The Nazi analogy is poor as I find the atrocities of the Nazi regime not comparable to Americans trying to exercise their rights. A more apt analogy for me is the Indian Nations, foreign nations conquered by the US and then forced to live within the US. I do not support the Confederate flag or any foreign flag being flown on US government flags or buildings but I think the US Southern Culture should be shown the same respect as other cultures forced to assimilate. 

And that is what this all boils down to, the rights of others, it is the rights of the outsiders that define us. When it wasn't acceptable for Blacks and gays to march those are the rights that need to be protected sorry but protecting he rights of the KKK to have a parade is what true tolerance is about. 

When you see a hairy man bare assed with a inflatable dildo marching down Hollywood Boulevard or a bunch of Klansmen on the steps of the Columbus City hall steps it should bring a tear of awesomeness to you eye.

Maybe we should start here.  What makes something a country by your definition?  If I stood at the fence around my yard and told everyone I was the President of HenryFordia, does that make HenryFordia a country?

Lol.  The only right they were exercising is the right to own people - a right that had since been abolished.  That's the only right that flag represents. 

People do have a right to fly that flag, but I reserve the right to draw whatever conclusion I see fit about anyone doing so.

So what your opinion is that flag only represents the one thing you think it does. Sorry you don't get to define other peoples cultures. By that line of logic the Rainbow flag is represents sin and should be abolished. 

Lets say you are right and that is the one thing that defined their culture, so what, that is who they were. So now are we defining cultures by their one worst element like radical islamic extremism?

Huh?  I don't even know what point you are trying to make.  At no point have I ever said any flag should be abolished.

Let me be clear: in 2016, the battle flag of Northern Virginia represents an era of the south that we should not be proud of.  When I see it flying, I assume those flying it choose to self-identify with racists (which is their right).

You're being intentionally obtuse (I hope), but I'll play along.  If the threat of Islamist terrorism is largely contained to nations with significant Muslim populations doesn't that justify Western leaders who want to decrease or end Muslim immigration to their nations?

On a side note I am debating taking my boys to see Trump Saturday but I can't decide because I don't want them to get hit in the head with a bottle from the tolerant democrats.

And that is your opinion. Many southerners do not self identify as racists. And that brings us full circle to the issue we were discussing. 

Toby and TIm and some others are degrading and attacking people who in their opinion are "bad". They justify their attacks because the others are bad. But what it comes down to is you are projecting your opinion to justify your own bigotry. 

Furthermore when others identify groups that they judge as "bad" lets say some group thinks homosexuals are "bad" that you disagree with they are bigots but somehow you are not? It is the same behavior. 

Tolerance is easy when someone is inoffensive.

Does it have borders? Do people live there? Does it have an autonomous government free to create laws for the land and it's people? Can it freely establish treaties with over sovereign States? Is it recognized by other sovereign States?
