I mean people who are easily manipulated and not so self-aware.Not even sure who you are talking about now.

The Republicans are scared. Politicians in both Parties just want to keep their jobs.Dude, it's constant. He sounds like a sullen middle schooler every time he opens his mouth or touches a keyboard.
Are all of the establishment Republicans slamming him and distancing themselves just easily manipulated too?
The media is not doing their job. They should cover more important things like what Hillary and Trump will do about the TTP.Forget about tax returns. Given what Wikileaks says about the TPP, I think Hillary should tell us a lot more about it and exactly which parts she support or not support.

This is exactly who Trump plays to with his constant barrage of lies and dumb nicknames then, right? Same with his marketing of his crap he shilled before he did this.I mean people who are easily manipulated and not so self-aware.
Best thing that could've happened to the Republicans was for them to throw a lame duck out there months ago to lose to Hillary and just suck it up for four years and prepare a strong candidate to beat her in 2020. Now they face the real possibility of their party being taken down in flames by Trump and his madness all because too many of their top dogs refuse to step away from him.The Republicans are scared. I do not buy everything Trump says and I know when he is exaggerating. This is exactly who Trump plays to with his constant barrage of lies and dumb nicknames then, right? Same with his marketing of his crap he shilled before he did this.
Times are changing. The days are numbered for the old guards, and they know it because Trump would not have won the Primary otherwise.Best thing that could've happened to the Republicans was for them to throw a lame duck out there months ago to lose to Hillary and just suck it up for four years and prepare a strong candidate to beat her in 2020. Sometimes punting is your best option.
Seems painfully obvious a large majority of his supporters do not.I do not buy everything Trump says and I know when he is exaggerating.
You give people a lot less credit than they deserve.
Meh, Pat Buchanan & David Duke run with the same or similar message it's a big fat nuttin'.Times are changing. Their days are numbered for the old guards, and they know it because Trump would not have won the Primary otherwise.
It's Trump's way of bringing things to people's attention. He exaggerates and then more creditable journalist will confirm the allegations may be only half true, at least what can really be proven.Seems painfully obvious a large majority of his supporters do not.
I'm trying to follow what you are saying. Media unfair to Trump, but they got him elected because Hillary can beat him so easily. People are easily duped and manipulated but I suppose that's only Dems but Trump voters weren't duped in primaries. Seems like you are threading the needle quite a bitI do not buy everything Trump says and I know when he is exaggerating.
You give people a lot less credit than they deserve.
It works for media attention but it's a bad method for getting new votes because he's hit a ceiling and he's even losing some people. It's Trump's way of bringing things to people's attention. He exaggerates and then more creditable journalist will confirm the allegations may be only half true.
I want to thank the 4 or 5 posters who sit in this thread 24/7 and post endlessly about Trump. Plus I get to go over to the Hillary thread and watch these same people pretend she isn't crooked, corrupt and a serial liar. Good times!WheelsUp said:I want to thank all the Trump supporters for embarrassing themselves at the expense of making me laugh.
Busy in battleground state of Connecticut.Hillary +9 in NC. Holy christ. The donald might want to make a stop down there.
No, I am saying the media does not report just the facts anymore. Every few things are black and white so you have to check multiple sources to find what is in the gray. This applies to both candidates.I'm trying to follow what you are saying. Media unfair to Trump, but they got him elected because Hillary can beat him so easily. BTW, I have ABC Sunday news programming on this morning in the background. The first two things they have on are Jeff Session to blow Trump's horn for going on 10 minutes, then next story up will be on Hillary's email. That's a third of the show all presumably Trump friendly.
I agree with Michael Moore in that we can all laugh at him (and it's easy to do because he's an absolute joke) but it's frightening it's gotten this far and what's really frightening is that it could go one step further and then we're all f'd. I just hope smarter minds prevail and we just survive this and then we can all laugh at the absurdity of it all when it's all said and done. But until then there's still plenty of uneasiness.Trump acts like a clown, says bizarre things, practically begs for media attention as a core strategy in his campaign. Then complains when they blast him for saying dumb stuff.
People who can't understand how this #### of epic proportions got this far are being duped because the are easily manipulated.
Is this right or am I missing something?
Most people actually deserve less than I give.I do not buy everything Trump says and I know when he is exaggerating.
You give people a lot less credit than they deserve.
Most elitists think this way. Most people actually deserve less than I give.
This deserves more than a "like."Most people actually deserve less than I give.
Hillary and the media are attacking Trump the person. There is a reason why Hillary now supports some of the same policy messages from the Bernie and Trump campaigns. In all seriousness, back to square one. How do people think a country could be great under this guy as President and how did he even get votes in the first place?
How does a person like him even get supporters. Blind hatred and racism or just those who completely support the Republican party no matter what?
Smart Republicans even pushed this guy to the side.
Meh.... it doesn't flow. It stinks. It has no pop or sizzle. As far as insults go, it's the " No. You're a ______" retort in this election season.Yes, it is a defining character of Hillary and a fact that even a second grader can understand.
"The media"'s job is to driving readership / ratings to make money selling advertising. It's been clear from day one that people want to watch / read about the insane and horrific things spewing out of trump's mouth. If he could go just 24 hours without doing something that captures the media's attention, some of these other stories would get more play. At this point people having been screaming about Benghazi / emails for years so it all just fades into background noise. The media is not doing their job. They should cover more important things like what Hillary and Trump will do about the TTP.
I like to insult Hillary but I have nothing against her ignorant supporters.Meh.... it doesn't flow. It stinks. It has no pop or sizzle. As far as insults go, it's the " No. You're a ______" retort in this election season.
Sure reading only FOX or Huffpo all day long is probably not a good idea. No, I am saying the media does not report just the facts anymore. Every few things are black and white so you have to check multiple sources to find what is in the gray. This applies to both candidates.
So, why weren't you complaining about this during the primaries? There are no free lunches. They helped the person who they think Hillary can beat. They certainly crowned Trump as head of the GOP. He loved it back then.
And they were not helping Donald Trump, they were helping their own ratings.
Oh.I mean people who are easily manipulated and not so self-aware.Not even sure who you are talking about now.
I agree with the idea that there's so much frustration with the political system that many people are crying out for someone outside both parties to come in and perhaps blow the system up (not literally of course Don) and start over. Personally, I could find myself voting for someone like that if I agreed with their political beliefs. However, Trump is not that person. I definitely can understand how he appeals to the lowest common denominator in this country. I completely get that. But I was having a conversation with someone recently who is a very intelligent person who is a Trump supporter. After a few minutes I had to get up and walk away because I couldn't take it anymore. I totally understand the anti-Hillary sentiment (I don't think she's a strong candidate either) but I cannot wrap my brain around the Trump support from anyone who has an iota of intelligence and common sense. It simply baffles me. All you need to do is listen to the guy and everything he says should either make you laugh, cringe or scare the beejesus out of you or all of the above. In no way, shape or form is he competent to run this country as a presidential candidate. It's unbelievable that it's gotten this far with this guy. It really is.In all seriousness, back to square one. How do people think a country could be great under this guy as President and how did he even get votes in the first place?

The media is only a collective in one sense: They are in it for money, same as the rest of us. They have biases, sure, but they want clicks, they want advertisiing, numbers, dollars.
Trump was, and is, good for ratings. He knows it, he brags about it relentlessly. The difference now is, he doesn't like what he's reading.
Nothing has changed. The media is covering the campaign constantly, and they are putting out what they think will get the most clicks. What's getting the most clicks now is continuing coverage of Trump being awful. Trump complaining about it gets the same amount of sympathy from me as a Kardashian complaining about paparazzi.
Sig worthy. Well, if only....ya know.I hear the Crooked Hillary rank out....and I don't know if they're talking about her having back problems or ethical problems. Just doesn't flow. Crooked is a lame word anyway. It's like a nursery rhyme word. Not a powerful word at all.I like to insult Hillary but I have nothing against her ignorant supporters.
The rabid dogs miss their chew toy when Em is busy.I like how every few days when I jump to the latest page of this thread, there's exactly one guy defending Trump, and it's always a different guy.
I think he is crediting them pretty well given how many fervently support that man no matter what he says and does. And how many fervently support Hillary as well.I do not buy everything Trump says and I know when he is exaggerating.
You give people a lot less credit than they deserve.

A sign that he is not 100% stupid like some claims. Why isn't Donald talking about poll numbers anymore. That used to be like the first 10 minutes of every speech![]()
He basically called people losers the other day and they cheered him for it.Most elitists think this way.
Hillary like to use powerful words like Racist.I hear the Crooked Hillary rank out....and I don't know if they're talking about her having back problems or ethical problems. Just doesn't flow. Crooked is a lame word anyway. It's like a nursery rhyme word. Not a powerful word at all.
How much 'fervent' support does Hillary have outside of women, especially black women? I'm a reluctant supporter who realizes she's 'ol reliable as a politician - nothing major is going to change with her.I think he is crediting them pretty well given how many fervently support that man no matter what he says and does. And how many fervently support Hillary as well.
A great number of people are easily manipulated.
I'm ok with that. If more people bothered to educate themselves we wouldn't be in this mess. Most elitists think this way.
Well, there is always Tim...guessing there are quite a few like her...and plenty that liked Bill enough they will support her no matter what. How much 'fervent' support does Hillary have outside of women, especially black women? I'm a reluctant supporter who realizes she's 'ol reliable as a politician - nothing major is going to change with her.
I usually do not watch much TV, maybe 2-3 hours a week, but I did find the debates entertaining. So, why weren't you complaining about this during the primaries?
Oh.
Got family members in this camp unfortunately. They are so wrapped up in the right wing bubble/ hatred of the left that they cannot see Trump with any semblance of objectivity.I agree with the idea that there's so much frustration with the political system that many people are crying out for someone outside both parties to come in and perhaps blow the system up (not literally of course Don) and start over. It is a two edge sword. Once the media got used to the higher ratings, they will do anything to keep it up there.Sig worthy. Well, if only....ya know.
I expected you to take it as a compliment.I'm ok with that. If more people bothered to educate themselves we wouldn't be in this mess.
Many people told him this was happening.Who exactly does that?
You know what to expect when they say she is "the most qualified" and have little accomplishments to highlight after all the time she spent in government. How much 'fervent' support does Hillary have outside of women, especially black women? I'm a reluctant supporter who realizes she's 'ol reliable as a politician - nothing major is going to change with her.
