which Obama administration policy led to this?Cops being hunted in cold blood is not great.
I never said that's when America was great genius, that's when it stopped being great. All the dumb things done by greedy businessmen and ignorant homebuyers wasn't when America was great.
It was the height of ignorance.
Ahhh......wait, I just figured out why you think that was when America was great. My bad, should have caught that sooner. Carry on.
Didn't it make it through both the House and Senate? The Iran deal was not great.
Your missing his point, that 2008 was the low point and the last 8 years have provided far healthier economic conditions. Many people's 401k and housing values have recovered, and as many are also pointing out job prospects have improved. Through education and hard work, people have opportunities now and over the past several years that they didn't have in 2008. In 2008, a person could have all the education and work ethic possible, everyone was screwed. I can see if one didn't own a home, have a 401k, or a job in 2008 it may be hard to relate. Thanks for proving my point! This is exactly around the time when America stopped being great.
oh, I see. You are claiming everything leading up to the recession was great, and you have been unhappy with the following recovery. Is that about right? You guys act like I don't know about the 2008 housing market crash. That's all my business text books talk about. I've written numerous papers about it.
I probably know more about it than most of you. Predatory lending is not good and definitely not great.
I would LOVE to read your papers. You guys act like I don't know about the 2008 housing market crash. That's all my business text books talk about. I've written numerous papers about it.
I probably know more about it than most of you. Predatory lending is not good and definitely not great.
Great minds.Sorry, Perry, my post was kind of redundant in relation to yours.
I agree Reagan should have been impeached and Oliver North jailed for treason. The Iran deal was not great.
Yes Bush's withdrawal plan was incompetent just like his presidency.Taking our troops out of Iraq prematurely was not great.
Lol. The big wigs at Best Buy are reading them now deciding if he's worthy of their $12/hr jobI would LOVE to read your papers.
Wait, we're supposed to feel wrong about laughing at that scene? It's like when Marvin got his head shot off in Pulp Fiction. I couldn't stop laughing, but knew it was wrong and was kind of embarrassed about it.
Quote where I said anything like that.why the hell would you pick the start of the Great Recession as an example of when things were great?
What? I was asked when we stopped being great now we're arguing semantics about the housing crash.Nor is 8 years ago when it started to go wrong.
His poor leadership during recent police on black violence.which Obama administration policy led to this?
By saying when it stopped being great, you are saying that BEFORE that, we were great. I shouldn't have to explain this to you. What? I was asked when we stopped being great now we're arguing semantics about the housing crash.
Trump spokesidiot (krazy K) was just on cnn to reassure us that there was no shakeup. They are just adding more talent to their already terrific campaign staff.Trump fires a bunch of top advisers again. It's like he keeps trying to declare bankruptcy on his campaign![]()
That crash cost my in-laws about $100,000 and my wife and I still own property in NY because of it. My BIL was in the business of flipping house and got caught by the crash but he did some serious wheeling and dealing and almost broke even, if he been able to sell those house he would have been so much better off.lol at reading books and writing papers about the 2008 market crash. Most of us here lived through it - as in, owned property... not living in parents basement, worrying about passing drivers ed class. We watched it happen live and in person.
When you're still living with your parents and hunting for crappy entry level jobs in your mid-20s, you don't have anything better to do than be ticked off at the fact that a black guy with a funny name is sitting in the Oval Office.lol at reading books and writing papers about the 2008 market crash. Most of us here lived through it - as in, owned property... not living in parents basement, worrying about passing drivers ed class. We watched it happen live and in person.
When you're in a recession, there's nowhere to go but up. I'm just saying it's not saying much that we "recovered".Your missing his point, that 2008 was the low point and the last 8 years have provided far healthier economic conditions.
I'm not upset with the recovery completely, it obviously could have gone worse but giving Obama a pat on the back for such isn't really saying much.oh, I see. You are claiming everything leading up to the recession was great, and you have been unhappy with the following recovery. Is that about right?
You think you know more because of your business textbooks? And papers you wrote while struggling for years to gain an associates degree? You guys act like I don't know about the 2008 housing market crash. That's all my business text books talk about. I've written numerous papers about it.
I probably know more about it than most of you. Predatory lending is not good and definitely not great.
No...people are just pointing out the siiliness of your claim and timing. What? I was asked when we stopped being great now we're arguing semantics about the housing crash.
Considering the crash was the example used when teaching many core business, fiance, and economic lessons. Yes.lol at reading books and writing papers about the 2008 market crash. Most of us here lived through it - as in, owned property... not living in parents basement, worrying about passing drivers ed class. We watched it happen live and in person.
I like it. Anyone who isn't doing their job is gonna get fired. Trump wants excellence.Trump fires a bunch of top advisers again. It's like he keeps trying to declare bankruptcy on his campaign![]()
We were and we weren't not great because of the collapse itself, that's going to happen in any economy. It's the recovery and Obama's poor leadership that to me in my opinion, makes us not great from that point.By saying when it stopped being great, you are saying that BEFORE that, we were great. I shouldn't have to explain this to you.
It's an opinion. You can't really measure greatness, it means something different to everybody. You think you know more because of your business textbooks? And papers you wrote while struggling for years to gain an associates degree?
I doubt you know more about anything...than anyone else on this board.
What sort of genius came up with that idea? I love it!Thank you but I didn't compile it, just did a little light editing.
The point was made elsewhere that, ala Time's Person of the Year going to a collective like "The Computer" or "Ebola Fighters", a certain award should not again go to MoP but to "The Trump Supporter".
I found the argument compelling.
That's called media bias. They're choosing to cover the nonsense instead of the substance which then gets parlayed into "Donald doesn't have any policy".Typical Trump: gives a "strong" speech that could give people something to talk about then have that be pushed to the back burner by doing/saying something that dominates the news instead.
what should he have done differently? His poor leadership during recent police on black violence.
to be clear: the answer cannot be "be less black"what should he have done differently?
Then why does he keep hiring garbage?I like it. Anyone who isn't doing their job is gonna get fired. Trump wants excellence.
I don't know. I can't claim to be an expert at everything, I know my limits.what should he have done differently?
Because who would want to work for him? And he's an idiot. Then why does he keep hiring garbage?
Maybe he's an idiot? I don't know, lol. What's the next thing Trump will create because he doesn't like reality? First polls, next...?
This should be your response to everything Trump says/does.Maybe he's an idiot? I don't know, lol.
Hellooooo...you can only fire the best people so many times. They aren't ALL the best people. This isn't some lib kid softball participation trophy league. Then why does he keep hiring garbage?
Kenyan Muslims?I just figured Obama would take care of his people.
you think black people are mad at Obama because he didn't take care of his people and this anger is manifesting itself in the form of police violence?I don't know. I can't claim to be an expert at everything, I know my limits.
All know is that race relations are very bad, there are less blacks working now than before Obama was in office, less blacks have houses than before he was in office, and more blacks are on government aid than before he was in office.
Maybe the recession hit the black (poor) community rougher than everyone else and they're still lagging behind. 8 years though.
I just figured Obama would take care of his people. Not in a racist sense but I know he brought in record black vote only for them to be in a worse position than before he was in office. I would be mad too.
