This is the long-predicted media attempt to inject unpredictability and excitement into the election.

Sure, Trump has cut a couple points from Clinton's lead ... from its absolute high point thus far.  These things always have an ebb and flow.  If they didn't then those polling average graphs would basically be two straight lines either perfectly parallel or moving in opposite directions.  Have you ever seen one like that?

Keep in mind that someone could easily pick another random point in the recent past and say that Clinton has added to her lead recently. For example she's up almost two points for the month of August according to the data in your link.

It's not close to over of course, but until some respected polls start showing Trump actually winning I wouldn't get too worried.

Donald Trump has a massive Catholic problem

https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/the-fix/wp/2016/08/28/donald-trump-has-a-massive-catholic-problem/

"But Trump trails among Catholics by a huge margin. A new poll from the Public Religion Research Institute released this week shows him down 23 points, 55-32.

A Washington Post-ABC News poll released earlier this month painted an even worse picture for Trump’s Catholic support. He was down by 27 points, 61-34.

If you compare the difference between Romney’s margin among Catholics in 2012 and Trump’s margin among Catholics this year, the 25-point difference is tied for the biggest shift of any demographic group in the Post-ABC poll.

(The only group that matches that 25-point shift is white, college-educated women. Romney won them by 6 points; Trump trails by 19.)

Trump’s deficits among non-whites and young voters, by contrast, are similar to where Romney and Republicans have been in recent years. The Post-ABC poll, in fact, showed Hillary Clinton failing to match Obama’s margin among non-whites — though not in a statistically meaningful way — while her margin among young voters ages 18-to-29 was three points better.

These are groups, in other words, that Republicans don’t expect to do well with. And they still don’t.

But Catholics have long been a swing vote in presidential elections, and right now they’re swinging hard for Clinton.

It’s also hard to overstate just how significant Trump’s poor performance among Catholics is. That’s because they comprise about one-quarter of voters in the United States (25 percent in 2012 exit polls) and are about as big a voting bloc as non-whites (28 percent) and independents (29 percent).

While we often look at how Trump is doing worse than Romney among Hispanics, we’re really talking about the difference between Trump taking 45 percent of the vote and 46 percent — or maybe 49.5 percent or 50.5 percent. That’s because Hispanics are only about 10 percent of the electorate, and the GOP’s share of that vote is likely to be between 20 and 35 percent or so.

When talking about Catholics, though, Trump is basically adding 5 to 7 percentage points to Clinton’s overall margin. If 25 percent of the electorate is Catholic, Clinton is currently taking 14 to 15 points worth of that chunk, while Trump is taking 8 or 8.5 points. And this is a group, again, that is usually close to tied."
Don't worry, HT has a poll that says Trump is actually ahead with Catholics.

More misogyny from the Trump Camp.

Trump campaign CEO fired woman on maternity leave: suit

Donald Trump’s campaign CEO fired a new mother suffering from multiple sclerosis while she was on maternity leave, according to a lawsuit obtained exclusively by The Post.

“Julia Panely-Pacetti, a new mother who suffers from multiple sclerosis, was terminated by defendants from her position as head of public relations and corporate marketing because of her sex and her disability,” states the lawsuit, filed in Manhattan federal court in September 2005.

The action was filed against American Vantage Companies, Panely-Pacetti’s then-employer, where she reported directly to Stephen Bannon, Trump’s top adviser and the chief of Breitbart News.

Panely-Pacetti claimed she was fired “while she was on a protected Family and Medical Leave Act maternity leave, even though she had been forced to continue performing her job responsibilities from home throughout her maternity leave,” the suit states.

News of the lawsuit comes just days after The Post exclusively reported that the man hired to remake Trump’s image roughed up and threatened his wife during their marriage, and also spanked their toddler twin girls, according to legal papers filed in their subsequent divorce case.

A September 2006 court document states the suit against Bannon was settled — but no details were made publicly available.

A spokeswoman for Bannon said: “Ms. Panely-Pacetti was not fired but laid off with all the personnel in her entire division during a corporate restructuring where the parent company exited its international sales and marketing business, and shutdown its communications department.”

:lmao: Coming from somebody who had Putin's B**ch Manafort at his side for 4 months
Not to mention his current CEO, the wife-abusing anti-semite who runs a far-right conspiracy theory web site.

One of my favorite things about this campaign is that Trump is worse than Clinton on virtually every avenue of attack.  Going after Clinton's health?  Welcome to the party, Dr. Bornstein. Clinton supported some "tough on crime" policies in the 1990s that were bad for the African-American community?  Let's dive into that old DOJ lawsuit and the Central Park Five saga for a spell.  Corruption and honesty concerns? It's mob connections, bankruptcies and Trump University time!  Only in it for herself?  Hey whaddya know, almost all of Trump's claims of philanthropy were lies!  He's such a vile human being in every respect that it acts as a defense for Clinton against any attacks, justified or not.

My favorite is the whole Clinton Foundation pay-for-play line.  So, people honestly think he won't find ways to enrich The Trump Organization if he became president?  No one's even asked what becomes of that (and it's debts) if he wins.

Wait, Manafort quit? :lmao:

What a chit show this thing is.

Trump still +300 today.  Never had a chance, really.  Cute that so many of you thought he did.

Dude, his poll numbers are getting better day by day. He has a big debate coming up and Hillary is nowhere to be seen.

Getting nervous?

Hillary Clinton is methodically preparing for the presidential debates as a veteran lawyer would approach her biggest trial. She pores over briefing books thick with policy arcana and opposition research. She internalizes tips from the most seasoned debate coaches in her party. And she rehearses, over and over again, to perfect the pacing and substance of her presentation.

Donald Trump is taking a different approach. He summons his informal band of counselors — including former New York mayor Rudolph W. Giuliani, talk-radio host Laura Ingraham and ousted Fox News Channel chairman Roger Ailes — to his New Jersey golf course for Sunday chats. Over bacon cheeseburgers, hot dogs and glasses of Coca-Cola, they test out zingers and chew over ways to refine the Republican nominee’s pitch.
:lmao:

starting to understand how a self professed non-drinker like Trump is so fat.  Cokes and cheeseburgers outta do it.

He is fat. He has such an obnoxious personality that I've barely noticed what a porker this nimrod is. I guess making him rich is god's make-up call for making him a fat dooshbag.

Pastor Mark Burns losing his mind on MSNBC. Screaming like a lunatic over a tweet he sent out. I'm sure it will be online shortly - just ended.
