Official Donald Trump for President thread (3 Viewers)

Obama brought the whole birther thing on himself. Just like Trump is bringing the whole "real net worth" thing on himself by not releasing taxes and Hillary is bringing the whole health issue on herself by not releasing medical records. Of the three issues, only the question of citizenship bears on the constitutional requirement for the presidency. Obama could have avoided the whole thing by releasing the long form. It was stupid not to do so. (and the birther conspiracy doesn't make any sense anyway, as his mother was a US citizen - it doesn't matter where he was born.) BTW - if Obama was white and played the birth certificate the same way, he would have still been attacked. Not racist - politics at its ugliest - which it seems, is all we have anymore.
You are wrong re: the bolded. If Obama was born in Kenya, he would not have been born a U.S. Citizen. This has been discussed ad nauseum.

Edit: I see this has already been covered.

Nor should they, but think of the mess it would cause if, after having been elected, passing laws, making appointments, etc. if it was found that he wasn't qualified in the first place. Would the appointments made and laws passed be null and void? How would you clean up a mess like that? So, IMO, citizenship must be proven beyond a shadow of a doubt. Has nothing to do with his race, at least for me.
He proved he was a US citizen many times over.

Have you taken precautions to be medically supervised on election night?
That depends. Is whisky medicinal?

Actually, I might have been wrong about Trump's statement this morning. Are you guys watching the news? People are really pissed about this. I think it's going to energize black voters especially. Trump may have really blown it by bringing this issue up again; it was largely forgotten by the media.

No, the noise was there on social media and other outlets. I've even heard it, and I've blissfully tuned out this election cycle.

Trump supporters have been unglued for several months now.

Talk about glorious to watch...bannings, new aliases, complaints about being suspended and mods being biased.  Its been spectacular to see.
All that means is that there are a boatload of sissified cowards reporting people on this message board. Which in turn is why the numbers of board members has cratered. This place is dying and the mods bowing to the reporters is the #1 reason. It's kinda funny that they are cutting their own throats with your assistance.

sho has stated that it's the Trump supporters doing all the reporting. :lmao:

There are Medal of Honor winners who support Hillary as well, including some Republicans:

As for the ones who support Trump, that's their right. Personally I fail to understand how any honorable person could make that choice.
I'm honorable. I'm supporting Trump. If you can look past all of Hillary's negatives but not Donald's, you may be very biased.

My perspective is that Republicans tried nominating decent, honorable, good men and they were not able to compete. So this time we nominated a prize fighter who is willing to get just as dirty as the competition. For me it is going to easier to vote for Trump than it was to vote for the last two options the Republican establishment gave us.

Not gonna fly guys. Blumenthal suggested all kinds of sleazy stuff and Hillary rejected it.

The Birther stuff took off when Donald Trump promoted it. And the reason it took off is because the Republican base was open to the blatant racism that it exemplified. That's the truth of the matter, everybody knows it, and attempts to confuse it by falsely pointing the finger at Hillary are doomed to fail.

It's absolutely shocking that Trump can put out the most liberal left leaning protectionist garbage, and is able to skirt it with the birther stuff.  Not to mention he's trying to discredit a fed which has been the most right-friendly fed in anyone's lifetime.

Never in the history of ever has a country been able to enforce a GDP by instituting tariff based controls.  If you want to see what happens when you do that stuff look at Brazil in the 1980s.   Yet people think this guy is conservative, a republican, or even knows what the hell he's talking about.

The reality is he's a lib in Alt-Right clothing.  People are so busy cheering for the alt-right agenda that his liberal policies are flying under the radar.

I would never call you or anyone else a dishonorable person, but I do believe your support of Donald Trump is a dishonorable decision. The Birther movement, his accusations about American Muslims cheering on 9/11, his treatment of the Khans, his mockery of a handicapped journalist, and a host of other instances are far beyond the pale of any other candidate in modern history, including Hillary Clinton.

Well, you're a member of the OLD conservative movement, the ones who believed free trade was a priority (as well as both an economic and moral good.) I was part of that movement too, but it's gone away.

Free trade is under assault by extremists in both parties. Moderates like Kasich, Obama and (perhaps) Hillary Clinton mean to keep it alive but they are in the minority these days.

I commend Trump for putting an end to It.  Hillary can only take credit for starting it.
