It's a reminder that Trump isn't dumb.  He's smart.  He's not smart on the level most of our Presidents have been, and he's not informed on the stuff we want Presidents to know a lot of stuff about, but he's not dumb.
He's deifinitely smart about promotion and money schemes. Stuff that doesn't involve trying to make a buck he sounds like an 8th grader.

I think the payback will end up being much larger than $50 million when it's all said and done.

But it sure would be interesting if Trump was somehow able to use Foundation funds to pay for loan.
After the election he will have ~60 million people who voted for him - that a huge market for his reality shows/speeches/books/etc.  He's going to make $50 million back in a couple of years.

I wonder about up charging though. I'm guessing some 25 dollar waters or some equivalent are mixed in with all these charges.
You see, we paid 25 dollars a bottle for Trump Ice Bottled Water because it's tremendous.  It's the best.  It really is.  Those other bottled waters are a disaster.  I've head from some really smart people that Nestle Pure Life water is from the Flint River.  We're not going to pay 25 cents a bottle for water that's going to make us sick.  I wanted to buy Aquafina, but my lawyers told me that stuff was contamined by Crooked Hillary's pneumonia-laden piss.  I'm not saying that myself, that's just what I've heard.  But you what happens when a campaign pays 25 dollars for bottled water?  It puts people to work.  It creates jobs.  I've created thousands of jobs, tens of thousands of jobs, jobs that make America great, jobs that can make America great again.  Crooked Hillary hasn't created one job her entire life, she sat back and watched her husband dicked bimbos while Flint Michigan became a disaster and ruined competition and markets that make America great for buyers by infecting Aquafina with her Parkinson's-filled piss and ruining PepsiCo and letting Dasani and CocaCola run over the country and the world.  So we can't let Dasani be the only choice for America, it's controlled by the special interests just like Crooked Hillary is when he she fills those Aquafina tanks with her epilepsy-infected piss.  So we're willing to pay extra for Trump Ice because it's the best and will make America great again and prove that I was against the war in Iraq that Crooked Hillary voted for while she sneezed her Zika-filled mucus into the Flint River and ruined a tremendous city with tremendous people that used to have great jobs but now is a disaster.

Thank you for your sacrifice, Mr. Trump.

And every dime he makes from this scam is a dime more than he likely pays in taxes every year, while hard working Americans struggle to pay theirs.  Surely this is the man to guide us to a better America!  :loco:
We should trust him to fix it because he always games the system okay? He alone can fix it.

Inherent conflict of interest between private sector Russian connections and business dealings and US foreign policy (blind trust through his children untenable - are they going to magically forget all their global real estate holdings and prospective deals?). Follows up on the concerns raised by the Newsweek article last week - which had kind of fallen out of the news cycle, at least temporarily.

For people not checking or unable to watch: ABC reports details of hundreds of millions of dollars in Russian business for Trump.

Put that together with this:

TRUMP gives Ukraine the ‘cold shoulder’

...“Trump Gives Ukraine Cold Shoulder in New York,” by Foreign Policy’s Molly O’Toole and Reid Standish: “Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump already has a contentious relationship with Kiev, irking the Ukrainian public and government officials with his praise of Russian President Vladimir Putin and Moscow-friendly views on the annexation of Crimea and the war in eastern Ukraine. Now, invited to meet with Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly this week, Trump’s campaign didn’t even bother to send Kiev an RSVP.

“A spokesperson for the Ukrainian presidential administration told Foreign Policy they reached out to both Trump and his Democratic rival, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, to meet with Poroshenko. According to the official, only Clinton said yes, sitting down with the president on Monday. The Trump campaign did not give a clear answer. Trump’s campaign did not provide comment about the so-far snub by the time of publication. But according to the candidate’s public schedule, he’s already jetted to North Carolina and has plans to be in Ohio and Pennsylvania the rest of the week, not in New York, where the U.N. meeting ends on Sept. 26, the day of the first presidential debate.” ...

DONALD TRUMP has not held an open press availability in 56 days, and last night his campaign manager, Kellyanne Conway, told Erin Burnett on CNN that Trump “gives press availability every day by doing these rallies in these swing states.” That is not the same thing. (H/t Sopan Deb)

Well, well, look who doesn't do pressers now.

Did the other candidates in the primaries question him on the conflict of interest he would have as a President with so many foreign business deals?

He's deifinitely smart about promotion and money schemes. Stuff that doesn't involve trying to make a buck he sounds like an 8th grader.
Trump speaks at about a 5th-6th grade level.  He rarely uses words with more than two syllables, and most of the three-baggers he uses are from the same small basket he uses over and over again.

Here's a really interesting breakdown of Trump's speaking style: diction, sentence structure, complexity, and purpose.

Is there a reason Trump always seems to repeat words 2 or 3 times at the end of a statement? So odd.
He's uncomfortable reading speeches so he tries to make them sound more "natural" by adding ad libbed comments at the end of each sentence: stuff like "that is absolutely true!" or "believe me!"

Did the other candidates in the primaries question him on the conflict of interest he would have as a President with so many foreign business deals?
I think they were focused on more substantive matters, like who was a dummy head and doo doo face.

How would Trump react if there were an incident at one of his properties in a Muslim country, such as Turkey, Indonesia, Saudia Arabia?

That's a perfectly fair and reasonable question.

Also fair to ask how trade deals and other international negotiations would be affected by participants carrying large amounts of Trump Organization debt, like the hundreds of millions he's believed to have borrowed from banks in Russia and China, but we can't verify because he won't release meaningful financial records.

I like this

“If I gave you a bowl of skittles and three of them were poison would you still eat them?”

“Are the other skittles human lives?”

“What?”

“Like. Is there a good chance. A really good chance. I would be saving someone from a war zone and probably their life if I ate a skittle?”

“Well sure. But the point-”

“I would eat the skittles.”

“Ok-well the point is-”

“I would GORGE myself on skittles. I would eat every single ####### skittle I could find. I would STUFF myself with skittles. And when I found the poison skittle and died I would make sure to leave behind a legacy of children and of friends who also ate skittle after skittle until there were no skittles to be eaten. And each person who found the poison skittle we would weep for. We would weep for their loss, for their sacrifice, and for the fact that they did not let themselves succumb to fear but made the world a better place by eating skittles.

Because your REAL question…the one you hid behind a ####ty little inaccurate, insensitive, dehumanizing racist little candy metaphor is, IS MY LIFE MORE IMPORTANT THAN THOUSANDS UPON THOUSANDS OF MEN, WOMEN, AND TERRIFIED CHILDREN…

… and what kind of monster would think the answer to that question… is yes?”

I love this.

From writer David Mandel...

If I had a bowl of Skittles and I told you one very orange Skittle wanted to deport all the green Skittles and called the purple Skittles racists and said that "a lot of Skittles are saying" that the Skittle President is really an M&M and that same orange Skittle was given 1 million dollars by his father and still filed for bankruptcy four times and refuses to release his tax returns because he's not as rich as he claims to be...

would you elect that orange Skittle President of the United States Of America?

That's my problem with the orange Skittle.

Also he is a liar and racist who hates women.

So we make accusations with no proof? Like what happens to Hillary? Just checking.

What accusations?  He has not released how much debt he has on his buildings or whom to the debt is owed.

Here's what his son said "In terms of high-end product influx into the U.S., Russians make up a pretty disproportionate cross-section of a lot of our assets," he said at a conference that year, according to news reports. "We see a lot of money pouring in from Russia."

Still isn't proof.

Still isn't proof.
Following that sorry excuse for logic that two-cycle weed whacker engine you call a brain on the birther issue.... it's Trump's own fault for not disclosing his financial records.  He brought it on himself.  If you're gonna blame the victim, then be consistent when you blame the victim.

When I said "what accusations?" I meant it.  There aren't accusations because he hasn't released his records.  To have such a wealthy businessman running for President and have him be secretive about his business dealings makes people suspicious.  He appears fine with people having suspicions, which legally is his option.  However, it does raise questions about his trustworthiness as President.

The new team has done great work. Little Donald follows his marching orders, reads off the prompter, doesn't tweet as much dumb ####, talks very monotone, stays on message sort of, doesn't try to talk about specifics, I even think he has laid off the bronzer.

Mark Cuban had real insight into what any intelligent person already knows..  it's all about liquidity...   as Randy moss would put it "straight  cash homie"... Donald doesn't have as much. Check cnbc interviews of Cuban months ago. He isnt hating or working complete power angle Even though he had an agenda but it's true. Trump is embellishing.  Its fine to me most rich do but it's going be a question he doesn't wanna answer. And that is a problem that any intelligent opposition will exploit till end.  Even though they're all liars. Which liar  is best will win.

This matters because Trump is a racist sexist misogynist that is trying to run on his business skills but he doesn't have any! HE WENT BANKRUPT A BUNCH OF TIMES!
Doesn't matter.  He's rich resilient smart... rich smart people are never  really bankrupt... people complaining just aren't smarter than the system .

Its It's like Obama winning over poor /middle  class/ minority... guess who.made all $$$$ for 18-19k market... the 1%....

Idc if he's racist blah blah. Everyone's racist sexist they just hide it. Its built into our society. Why think white good looking men make way more... watch 60 min report years ago. Still true thank God.

As I've said from when I realized long ago... this country isn't about black white whatever.. Its about RICH VS POOR. Why do You think rich white people fund BLM bs... George Soros an Carl IcaHn among other pbilanthropist ..Its like hey look over there. Don't watch us.  Its genius.

Bad aliases arguing with bad aliases makes for an intolerable thread.  Nuke the whole thing and ban everyone with more than 50 posts in here.

Damn, I've been busy the last week with work, travel, and a new lady friend and haven't had time to check in with you dopes.* I finally get a second to check in, click on this page and see Money Never Sleeps. Guess I'll check out again.

*I mean that as lovingly as possible.

Key to Trump's success:  Illusory Truth Effect
This is really interesting, ever apart from this election.  Found this part especially interesting.

And finally, as if to add insult to injury, perceptual fluency can affect how credible a face looks. Brown et al.(8) showed participants sets of faces on two occasions (either 2 days or 2 weeks apart), with some faces repeated in both sessions, and some new in the second session, and asked them to rate how honest and sincere they looked. Regardless of the interval, repeated faces appeared slightly more honest and sincere. So if you hear a false statement over and over again from a familiar face, you’re screwed. Thanks to processing fluency, it will seem like the person’s more honest and the statement’s more true and popular.
The author goes on to say it's only part of the picture, but Trump is on TV constantly and repeats the same lies over and over again.  If a person isn't inclined to fact check, it's easy to see how they could fall prey to this.

Watching the morning political talk shows this am and it was all debate talk.  The consensus seems to be that as long as Trump doesn't call Hillary a #### on stage, or use the N word, he'll be the debate "winner."  The bar is set so low for this clown that it's frankly stunning.  Hopefully we've seen the high tide of his popularity and the sane people realize that Hillary probably won't die before taking office and will vote against the orange clown.

I hope Hillary just smiles at Trump's juvenile insults and asks the people if he's the kind of person they want in the Oval Office making decisions that require insight and reflection.
