At least we know what the GOP is now.  No more wondering if it's Rand Paul with his libertarian leanings, or if it's Ted Cruz with his "Christian" message, it's not a sensible John Kasich type party, or the Jack Kemp version as Paul Ryan fancies himself.   The GOP is Donald Trump.  He's the one who riled up the base, got them motivated to vote and actually won.

To me it's disgusting beyond words, but at least there's no more ambiguity.
Think about where the breakthrough was, where the election was won.  It was the rust belt - consistently blue states. Heck - she lost Pennsylvania! Pennsylvania!!

So the same blue collar white folks who voted in Obama in 2008 and have carried Democrats for the last 50 years are all of a sudden bigoted and disgusting because they heard a profound message addressed to them on one side and were abandoned on the other?

Classic.

Watching he Clinton concession speech, you can just see she is dead inside. Trump ripped out her soul and ground it in the dirt.
It'll be waiting for her in a nice minimum security country club.

What's with all these reprobates protesting?  It's our country again, the people have spoken.  This garbage is over.  Throw these fools in the gulag, capture Soros, and turn him over to Putin.
Perhaps it is an attitude like this and what people are expecting from a Trump presidency that they are protesting.

Considering the number of "If Clinton wins...we revolt" and other memes of that ilk on my Facebook feed as recently as yesterday afternoon....there's nothing wrong with some PEACEFUL protest.  That beind said, if you're protesting tonight and you didn't vote...you're a special kind of ### hole.

My sister is a teacher in a middle school.  She said the kids were chanting "Build a Wall! Build a Wall" in view of their Hispanic classmates.  Schools councilors are going to be busy this year.
This is on Trump and some of his supporters. My daughter reports that her LGBT friends were harassed today on social media by emboldened Trump supporters. Melania has her work cut out for her.

Trump has already accomplished more than any other Republican in my lifetime.  He won states that haven't been won since 1984, and he gave Republicans the Supreme Court for at least the next 30 years, more likely the next 50 years or even our lifetime if played right.  The balance of power won't be balanced at all, as it will be 7-2 in the next few years in the Court.  They have such a huge lead in the house they will control it all four years at a minimum.

Gotta give that "DONALD TRUMP IS A #####"..OR "#### DONALD TRUMP IN THE #####" guy who was interviewed on Megyn Kelly's show some pop.  That #### never gets old.

Just to make sure I understand your argument, are you saying that historically Democratic voters backed Trump or stayed home?
Democrats backed Trump. I know this is shocking and hard for libprogs to comprehend but the "working man" your party supposedly looked out for woke up and saw they had been sold out and forgotten.

There was one candidate that spoke about them and their concerns.  The Democrat party was to busy for them took them for granted.

Looks like the Democrat party is doing that to a lot of their demographics.

But that's for them to decide.

Welcome to the new GOP and the new New World Order.

Trump ain't GOP.  Trump is TRUMP PARTY.

For the few losers around here who mocked Trump supporters and laughed at him having a shot,  you can either wake up now and get with the new America or just fade away crying about how bad things will get.  You were wrong.  America has spoken. You're in the minority .

Actually they are in the majority for all of America - but not just enough of a majority in a few key states. Hard to say if they were "wrong" - this new split America looks like the same split America we had before from here.

You don't understand math.

Also...the...you all insulted us crying...while calling people losers is great shtick.

Um, didn't Hillary win the popular vote?

Technically a plurality, not a majority, but still she got more votes than The Donald.

Who cares, the Clinton's are done with politics and a lot of Obama's policy's will soon be history. Americans finally have had enough.

We will control the Supreme court for decades to come. We will be great again.

To all the Trump supporters in here: congratulations. He is going to be my President and so I support him, wish him well, and hope he is a success. If he carries out his campaign promises I suspect I will oppose him pretty strongly, but for now I have an open mind and hope for the best.

I doubt he will ever truly be Able to maga.  The dirty rotten Republicans are probably going to hijack his presidency.

If you mean by this they will prevent the wall and prevent him trying to impose tariffs, I hope so. I know that Paul Ryan does not believe in tarrifs (not sure what he thinks about the wall).

Do any Trump supporters here who didn't previously believe in god now believe in god?
No but I believe in the Supreme Court going conservative for the next few decades

I believe in getting rid of Obamacare

I believe in rolling back ALL of Obama's illegal executive actions

I believe in getting rif of ALL of Obama's far left wing appointees

I believe in Jeff Sessions as the Secretary of Defense

I believe in  Rudy Guiliani  as the Attorney General

I believe in Ben Carson as the  Education Secretary

I believe in David Clarke as the head of Homeland Security

I believe in Myron Ebell as the EPA administrator

I believe in Victoria Lipnic as the Labor Secretary

I believe like Obama said, elections have consequences

Florida is in play for trump. Yes, Trump will most likely lose the Hispanic Vote. They vote 75/25 D/R. Even George W. Bush only won 44% of the vote. However, this does not matter. Trump does not need CO, NV or NM to win the presidency. CA, AZ and TX are not swing states. So the only Hispanic vote that matters is in FL. From what I understand that state is mostly LEGAL Cubans and Puerto Ricans, not Mexicans. To reiterate the Mexican vote will not be a factor in the general election.

Many of Trump’s sweeping promises will be hard, if not impossible, to fulfill
I can't imagine anyone that would be surprised by this statement.  Or that many of Obama's sweeping promises would be hard, if not impossible to fulfill.  Or that many of Bush's sweeping prom......

You say things to get the rubes to vote for you and hope the smart people understand what you're doing to get elected.  Whether it's "build the wall" or "hope and change" the dance is still the same.

Or you can do like Romney and only preach to the smart people on both sides and get crushed.

Personally I think whatever shine hasn't worn off yet will do so after he gets smoked next month.

People, especially Trump voters, like backing a winner. When they realize that backing Trump caused them to lose to "Crooked Hillary", I think they'll pull the same thing they did with GWB and suddenly proclaim that they knew he was an idiot all along, in an effort to keep from being embarrassed for supporting a disaster.

The Fury and Failure of Donald Trump

Win, lose or drop out, the Republican nominee has laid waste to the American political system. On the trail for the last gasp of the ugliest campaign in our nation's history

Trump has run a wild, crazy campaign breaking almost all the rules and it's gotten him this far, which is pretty damn impressive.

Meanwhile Hillary has followed every rule of campaigning, from her well organized carefully structured speeches to her incredible ground game- every aspect of her campaign has been meticulously planned. She is the Alabama Crimson Tide of candidates.

And that's why it probably won't be close on Tuesday. Because in the final analysis all that planning and organization really does pay off.

So this is what I was worried about most. This was from a good friend of mine today:

For all of those complaining about political posts the last few days and that don't want to here others opinions....consider this:

My children returned to school today (granted in Mississippi) to the most vile comments this world has to offer -

"Trump won, go home ni@@ers"
"No more brown people"

Among other things...well let me say this flatly...this post is not about my opinion. This post is about my ####### family. Our life.

My sweet six year old asked me recently if there was a place for her in Donald Trump's America after seeing the Khan commercial. Sad to say, I cannot definitively answer that question.

Trump won, I get it. But if his rhetoric doesn't change, if the dog whistles don't stop, we've all lost.

He tapped into unearthed the worst in people. If you don't get that, please stop following me. We have literally zero in common.  Seriously, I won't be offended.

But the harmful people coming out from the shadows are disturbing and disgusting. Trump's got a lot of work to do to earn my trust.

Tell him that he sounds silly.  Those same issues were there one year ago, 5 years ago, 10 years ago etc.  Thinking this just changes cause we have a new POTUS is flat out idiotic.

As far as the bolded goes it's simple.  The weak will raise weak.  The fact that he cant give more encouraging words to his child is what should worry you the most.

Russia Claims ‘There Were Contacts’ Between Its People And The Trump Campaign Team

“There were contacts” before the election, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said Thursday, according to the Interfax news service. “We continue this work of course,” he said, without giving details of what the contacts were.
We used to be friends with Russia a long time ago.  Maybe they'll play nice and we can be friends again.  Glad to see Trump reaching out ahead of time with an olive branch.  Good for him.

He ranks 6th when you look at the last 3 elections.

Obama 2008 69,498K

Obama 2012 65,915K

Romney 2012 60,933K

McCain 2008 59,948K

Clinton 2016 59,938K

Trump 2016 59,704K

Yes, the guy should counsel his children that racism has been around for decades and they should get used to it. Especially in Mississippi, right?

What did you tell your children?

Yea that should worry me more than kids getting called the N-word at school.
