You guys are going to go nuts when he starts making is appointments and rolling back as much as he can from the Obama disaster.
I hope he stays exactly who he is, he is not a politician he is a businessman.
It will be a fun 4 years.
If he can accomplish half of what he wants in his first 100 days Americans will be thrilled.
He is unlike anyone that has been in office since forever, he owes nothing to anyone but his supporters.
This will be epic. Changes are a coming and I cannot wait to see half of you here melt down.

How do you know that? These fears are not coming from some tinfoil hat left wing libtard extremism. Trump, himself, has said out loud that he doesn't understand why we have nuclear weapons if we don't use them and he has made several other statements that make it clear that he does not see nuclear arms as a deterrent/defense, but rather as a potential offensive tool of war.
But I suppose this is part of the meta chronicle that I don't understand. Trump has so much support because he is a regular old guy who says what he means and doesn't lie like the no-good Washington establishment. Then in the next breath we are lectured on how we we are supposed to believe that everything he has actually said was just a joke/hyperbole and we can't take him literally or we are being fear-mongering paranoid lunatics.
Which is it? Is he a liar or he is a straight-shooter that could potentially lead to the destruction of civilization? Pick one. Stick with it. And own it. Because Trump can't be the ultimate truth-teller yet we're supposed to subjectively disbelieve things that come out of his mouth that are ####### crazy.

It's impossible to accomplish a huge list of major accomplishments in 100 days. He's not the CEO, he's the president of the US, which has a considerable number of checks and balances.
But even if he is somewhat successful in his list of goals, that's not what will define him. It will be how he responds to major events......

A lot of people Right, Left and Middle are looking at this as a political victory, This is not like anything over the last 50 years or ever. Everyone doubted him Right, Left, Middle, media, pundits, experts and he whooped every one of them every time. You are all expecting business as usual. Heck he is best known for firing people,
He has called everyone out for what he sees them as being. Neither Bush voted for him, the RINOS hate him.
This will not be politics as usual, half the country thinks he is crazy and the other half still haven't made up their minds yet.
He will surround himself with the experts he needs to get the job done as he wants it done.
I have no idea where this will go but he is going to try to make HIS America.
He is no Hillary Clinton, Obama, Mitt Romney, Paul Ryan or any other name you want to throw out there.
He is THE DONALD.
I for one cannot wait to see where this goes and expect the unexpected.
This was not just a change of power at the top of our government this was a historic choice, for good or bad.

I am not really any more concerned about Trump nuking than any other President. Maybe there is even less of a chance since it seems like Trump wants to be more friendly with Russia. My concerns are more to do with him just not being qualified to be President and doing a poor job leading.

He isn't a guy that can let any slight or perceived insult slide in any way at all, which is IMO definitely a major cause for concern. Obviously he's not going to just lob nukesvat anyone, but the idea of Trump in a game of chicken / a #### measuring contest with North Korea or other countries run by genuinely crazy dictators isn't exactly a warm and fuzzy image. The fact that he doesn't understand why nuclear proliferation is a really bad thing is also genuinely scary.

Eh, most of his advisors and names floated around seem to be of the establishment. He will roll back some of what Obama did but it's hardly the change people envisioned. Guys like Gingrich, Rudy, Christie. Goldman bankers, private equity guys. Heck, Dimon as Treasury Secretary is probably the exact opposite of what some wanted. A middle of the road political guy leading the biggest investment bank in the country.

I can almost guarantee that within the first year of the Trump administration, there's going to be an act of terrorism here somewhere, likely involving a radical Muslim. It's going to be like San Bernardino or Florida, and people are going to die. When this happens, what is going to be Trump's response? Any predictions?

What I want to see is a republican agenda enacted and see what that looks like and its effects on the country. If it looks like crap - vote him out and go another direction. I personally think a republican agenda is and has been the way to go for years. But like I said, if it sucks, we move on. That's truly one of the great things about this country.

President-elect Donald Trump called slain NYPD Sgt. Paul Tuozzolo’s widow Thursday morning and personally extended his “condolences” to her on the day that thousands of police officers paid tribute to the fallen Finest at his funeral
“I’m very sorry I cannot be there with you today. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time,” Trump told the grieving woman, according to a source.
“I want to express my condolences from me and my family.”
Tuozzolo, a married father of two, was shot and killed last week by 35-year-old ex-con Manuel Rosales. Tuozzolo had been responding to a report of a break-in.
Thousands of cops gathered on Long Island on Thursday for Tuozzolo’s funeral.
A line of officers extended for nearly a mile as a hearse carrying his flag-draped casket made its way to St. Charles & Resurrection Cemetery in East Farmingdale for his interment.
Friends and family described the 19-year veteran as a “family man” and “protector” who was willing to do anything he could to save lives.
Trump has been a vocal supporter of the NYPD, even mentioning them in his victory speech Tuesday night.
“Law enforcement in New York City. They are here tonight. They are spectacular people,” he said. “Sometimes underappreciated, unfortunately — but we appreciate them.”

So, he's only the President for the people who voted for him? And everyone else can do what? Considering 52% of eligible voters didn't vote. Pretty telling. That article says exactly nothing. It says that some guy who said he would leave should leave, and Trump should leave the governing to Pence. That's a pretty detailed plan ya got there.
What he promised was that everything would be so great it will be unbelievable, and that our heads will spin at how fast and great it will be. Suckers fall for it, and here's the actual plan: nada.
So you guys keep holding your breath about what Trump will do for the people who voted for him: The high school educated whites waiting for their factory jobs, and their wives. Good luck. Since I'm well off and don't simply vote for my own self-interest, I have you guys to thank for getting me exactly what will benefit me: Republicans all around. LMAO that the under-educated, under-income whites think this is win for them though.

He certainly didn't campaign on a traditional Republican agenda -- not even remotely close. I agree that in the end, that's probably what we are going to get, with a few tweaks and a greater emphasis on restricting immigration, but that isn't what he ran on at all.
Specifically in terms of the economy, I wonder how it is going to sit with the rural rust belt working class as they realize that growing globalization is an inevitability as opposed to a result of any specific government policies on either side. Coal jobs aren't coming back, period, because gas is plentiful, cheaper, and cleaner. Manufacturing jobs aren't coming back regardless of any tariffs or trade deals, because it is now possible to automate so much of the process.
I think that he is definitely going to get rid of the ACA -- and guess who is going to lose their coverage? The same rural working class folks that voted for him in WI, PA, and OH.
Guess we'll see how this turns out.

The first thing Trump should do is order his followers to purchase mirrors. Then order them look in them, tell themselves their jobs aren't coming back, that Trump can't do anything about it, and they need to take personal responsibility for their own lives.

We will. And like I said, if it totally sucks, I'll be the first to pull the lever against him come next time to vote. But I do think his administration will be much more business-friendly and theoretically, that should lead to job growth. But as you said, we'll see how this turns out.

Whatever he is advised to respond..just like Obama, Bush, Clinton, Carter and everybody before them. There are people much smarter and that have way more information than the presidents.

I'd counter that jobs are actually in pretty good shape overall at the moment -- unemployment is low and while wages are still behind where they should be, that has slowly started on the upswing also in the last few months. The problem is that the recovery hasn't been felt, at all, by the small single industry towns in the rust belt that were devastated when the factory, the steel mill, the mine, etc shut down for whatever reasons -- leaving huge parts of the country hopeless, jobless, and devastated by meth use and the diseases (hep and HIV) that run in it's wake.
The solutions to this involve widening the social safety nets, and investments in education, vocational retraining, and drug rehabilitation and education -- and those aren't things that are part of any Republican agenda that has existed in any of our lifetimes. I'd imagine that Mike Pence's term as Indiana governor might serve as a decent predictor for the Trump administration's approach to these issues -- and as an Indiana resident, I can tell you that this is a huge reason that he is Trump's VP in the first place. Pence is hated here because of his response to these problems.
His rhetoric has increased the odds that one of his business concerns could be a target. I hear so much hatred toward Trump from some of my "peaceful" friends ... I can only imagine what's going on in the mind of a radicalized Muslim. Not that such people ever needed an excuse anyway.
His response would include more ethnic profiling and more harmful rhetoric.
