I can’t believe there are folks on the Penny side. A big mistake to me. Even two Pennies don’t equal a JuJu. 

Only 4 games with more than 5 catches. 3 100 yard games. Zero multi touchdown games. Disappeared in his lone playoff game. He was a 2nd round rookie pick. Even if he pans out, he can be found much easier than a RB like Penny. Give me Penny and let me take stabs at the Marquis Goodwins, Dede/Coles, Robby Andersons... Or any of these rookie WRs around 2.1 ish that can be had easier. Plus in general it's easier to trade for WRs in my experience. 

TLDR: If I had 1.3 and someone offered me JuJu I would never take that owner seriously again.

Some harsh criticism for a guy who is still 21, and will still be 21 halfway through this upcoming season.  

I guess some people just like to look at numbers rather than actually look at the player on the field who absolutely looks the part of a top tier WR in the NFL.

You obviously don't like Penny, have commented earlier you'd take 1.6 in next years draft for him. But you love Chubb. Now for me I don't like Chubb and I personally would give not give up Penny if I could get two Chubb's. Would you feel this way if someone traded Chubb for JuJu?  The more appropriate response you should have made is "I" would never trade JuJu for Penny because "I" don't think two Pennies equal JuJu but to suggest your comments are reflective of market value is ridiculous.

This post is weird on so many levels.

Firstly, all those things you quote are pretty darn good for a 21 year old who didn't even take over his team's #2 role until part way through the season.  "Only" 3 100 yard games in 7 starts?  Care to take a guess how many 100 yard games Michael Thomas had in 16 starts last year?  Hint:  The answer is 1.  Mike Evans had 1.  Neither had any multi touchdown games either.

As to your last statement about never taking an owner seriously for offering JuJu for 1.03, even if you are way lower than the consensus on a guy, surely it's not smart to hold it against an owner for offering a trade that is fair on consensus value.

ETA: JuJu's "only" 3 100 yard receiving games last year was actually the 9th most in the NFL, and all 8 guys ahead of him started 15+ games.

I own Fournette in almost every league I'm in and I am flabbergasted by how little concern people have for him.

He had a poor YPC last year and most of that already poor YPC came on two big runs that were blocked excellently.  I know you can't just pull out runs but without his two big runs he was under 3.2ypc last year.  Even with them he was still poor on a per touch basis.  Yet people are treating him like he was some big breakout just because he got a lot of carries that he was expected to get anyway.

I'm not saying that he's going to be a bust, but he's being treated like he is a lot more reliable going forward than he really deserves at this point, and the ankle issue certainly seems to be lingering a lot more than we were hoping it would.

YOU have them are ranked this way and why if you replied with something like "I'd prefer JuJu a lot", "I'd not sale JuJu for two Pennies" or "I value them multiple rounds apart in a startup"  I'd have just appreciated the strong take even I disagreed with it. But to act like your rankings should be how everyone else views them, that you can't believe people don't agree with despite the fact that the market value is about as close to even as it gets, is as a said absurd.

I got a private rules FFPC league and out of coincidence someone just a few hours ago posted a poll asking who they preferred in PPR dynasty, JuJu or Penny? I have no idea why this poll was posted but not by me and has nothing to do with my trade. Taking away my vote it's 3 to 3. But yea, according to you  I got to admit I got an amazing deal, two Pennies is not worth him and you can't even believe people think it's close. It's your world and we're just living in it.

This is crazy to me, but I'll admit to having blind spots for WR #2s on thier team. Never someone I look real hard at. And then add Bell's targets and JuJu for me is the third option in the Steelers passing game with a declining QB. I'll pass at his cost every time. Give me Goodwin or Doctson at a 1/4 the price.

i prefer JuJu but i think you're being a bit dramatic.  If Penny puts up 1,200 total and JuJu 1,000 yards this season they will be looked at as fairly equal   In fact Penny will likely be valued higher.

JuJu looks good but it isn't like he lit the world on fire his rookie season.  I'm borderline who i would prefer between JuJu and Penny in dynasty.  I'd lean Juju but it's not a landslide at all.

Any 2nd year player who shows potential their rookie season gets over valued, usually too highly.  JuJu is probably overvalued.

Also JuJu is very charismatic which probably inflates his value with many people.

I agree with all of this and I felt the trade was equitable myself. I shopped Dion this year in a league up till pick 12 and would have shopped him until a player I wanted was gone, which ended at pick 12. I would not have traded Dion for 2.1 in that draft and IMO 2.1 in a current draft is more than equitable to a likely 11-12 in a future draft.

Only thing I might have looked at differently on your team is the fact that you indicated that a powerhouse team is in your league and a deep one which makes their downfall harder to see. So with that in mind that makes me less inclined to give up more of a potential long term prospect the first allows you to pick for more of an immediate help. Maybe you are also a powerhouse or at least one of challengers to powerhouse and if so that makes sense.

You could easily argue B is getting the only proven reliable assets in the deal in Landry and Olsen. Feels like a wash to me that can be swayed either direction depending on your subjective evaluation of the difference assets. In other words, a ideal trade that both sides probably think they won.

Juju lit it up once he got the starting nod. His qb has taken a lot of hits but they have a successor, perhaps, in rudolph, who is kind of a Ben clone. Brown isn’t a spring chicken anymore and Bell may not be with the team next year for all we know. He’s shown he can play at an nfl level. Penny hasn’t. I really like penny, and have drafted him where I can, but I also know it doesn’t always translate. 

Juju is also 1+ years younger than penny at a position that gets more longevity (typically). I like penny, but there are a lot of reasons to like juju going forward. 

Can you name some rookie wr that have showed year 1 and faded recently? I’m racking my brain and coming up with not much, tavon Austin maybe. Kelvin Benjamin? Jordan Mathews? Allen Robinson? Those guys benefitted from a lot of garbage time (I think Robinson is going to have a Keenan Allen type resurgence fwiw). I’m sure I’m missing a bunch, just wondering who comes to mind.

This is fair, but what are your rough projections for him? With Bryant out of town he feels like a lock for 1K and 6+. His market value gets a nice boost when that happens. Statistically, he starts to look a lot like a lot like Amari Cooper did when he was going in the first round of startups.

Sony Michel was drafted anywhere from 1.03-1.06 in most rookie drafts. In a start 1QB league he alone has to have close to the same trade value as Rodgers.

Exactly. I'm not a big fan of Michel but those two are close.

Mariota has virtually no trade value in a start 1 QB league in my opinion.

T. Cohen is a nice little piece to own but similarly doesn't carry much value for me in a trade. I'd move him for any 2nd round pick.

Sutton >> Cohen/2nd (perhaps if you like Cohen and don't like Sutton, this is even, but not by much)

my view is probably slanted by the leagues I play in (all FPPC) so the rosters are small and you can't hold many guys and wait for them to develop, especially since it is also dual flex. I can say definitively in all 7 of my FFPC leagues I would not move Cohen for Sutton. Maybe this is just personal preference but I don't see any deals where Cohen is going for 'any 2nd rd pick'. I personally look for Mariota to take a step forward this year and at least be a QB1, I realize that still doesn't give him a ton of value but I also don't think Sutton is going to amount to much in the NFL, I think Hamilton likely outscores him this year in Denver. So this might be part my personal view of the players, as well as the fact that I don't play in leagues with a deep bench

If you're going to devalue Mariota for being in a 1QB league then you have to devalue Rodgers as well. After trying to trade him for 2 years I will tell you, nobody is giving up a first for him in 1 QB leagues. I made many offers and did lots of research in what Rodgers was going for in other completed trades.
